    Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition comprises a thermoplastic resin (A) and graft copolymer particles (B) having a hollow rubber portion and graft chain, in which a volumetric proportion of hollow part in the hollow rubber portion of the graft copolymer particles is 1 to 70% by volume. The thermoplastic resin composition contains the thermoplastic resin and the graft copolymer particles in a weight ratio (A)/(B) of 2/98 to 100/1. The hollow part in the graft copolymer particle functions to further improve impact resistance.

The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 25 to 90 parts by weight of a (meth)acrylic ester copolymer (X), which is prepared by polymerizing 40 to 95% by weight of a (meth)acrylic ester, 0 to 40% by weight of a vinyl cyanide compound, not more than 60% by weight of an aromatic vinyl compound and 0 to 40% by weight of a monomer copolymerizable therewith, and has a glass transition temperature of not more than 20° C. and a gel content of not more than 50% by weight, 5 to 75 parts by weight of a copolymer (Y), which has a glass transition temperature or a melting point not less than 50° C.

    Abstract: A nonflammable injection-molding resin composition. The composition includes a nonflammable resin component containing a low-molecular-weight styrene resin having a high .alpha.-methylstyrene content; a rubbery polymer having grafted thereon a vinyl cyanide and/or alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer and an aromatic vinyl monomer; a low-molecular weight post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride resin and, optionally, a vinyl chloride resin; and, as a moldability-improving agent, a specific alkyl acrylate resin comprising a vinyl cyanide monomer, an alkyl acrylate monomer and an optional copolymerizable vinyl monomer. The nonflammable resin composition provides injection-molded articles with a good balance of impact strength and non-peeling properly and is excellent in moldability.

    Abstract: A modified nonflammable molding resin composition. The composition is a blend of (A) a nonflammable resin composition composed of 30 to 80% by weight of a styrene resin having a methyl ethyl keton-soluble portion having a reduced viscosity of 0.2 to 0.5 dl/g and 70 to 20% by weight of a vinyl chloride resin having a polymerization degree of 400 to 800; and 0.5 to 15 parts, based on 100 parts by weight of the nonflammable resin composition (A), of (B) a copolymer of a vinyl cyanide, an alkyl methacrylate, an aromatic vinyl compound and another copolymerizable vinyl monomer in specified ratios and having a reduced viscosity of not less than 1.8 dl/g. The composition has improved heat stability in injection molding and excellent heat resistance.

    Abstract: A flame-retardant injection-molding resin composition. The composition contains (A) 100 parts by weight of a flame-retardant resin composed of 30% to 80% by weight of styrene resin having a reduced viscosity of methyl-ethyl-ketone soluble portions of 0.2 to 0.55 dl/g in N,N-dimethylformamide at a concentration of 0.3 g/dl at 30.degree. C., and from 20% to 70% by weight of a polyvinyl chloride resin having a polymerization degree of from 400 to 800; and (B) 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a copolymer of from 3% to 35% by weight of a vinyl cyanide compound, 30% to 97% by weight of an alkyl acrylate and 0% to 67% by weight of a vinyl monomer being copolymerizable with the vinyl cyanide compound and the alkyl acrylate. The flame-retardant injection-molding resin composition provides injection-molded articles of high impact strength and low delamination tendency and has excellent thermal stability, flame resistance and heat stability.
