  • Patent number: 6898178
Abstract: A technology is disclosed to enable VP/VC on an ATM network to be backed up by using an ISDN line without presetting any detailed information regarding a backup VP/VC to be set on the ISDN line. An ATM switch A30 is provided to establish the ISDN line connecting with an ATM multiplexer A20 when any failure occurs in an ATM transmission path contacting with the ATM multiplexer A20. Negotiation is carried out with ATM multiplexer A30 by using the established ISDN line so as to decide a channel characteristic of a backup VP/VC to be set on the ISDN line. Then, the ATM switch A30 and the ATM multiplexer A20 communicate with each other by using the backup VP/VC having the decided channel characteristic on the ISDN line.

  • Patent number: 6862290
Abstract: A line switching system of a dynamic band variation unit (10) having a function of connecting a dynamic data terminal device (30A) to an opposing data terminal device (30B) through a number of trunk lines such as a dedicated line (21) or ISDN lines (22-24), wherein the quantity of data to be sent out to a trunk line is varied after the quantity of data to be stored to the dynamic band variation unit is adjusted by varying the communication speed of the data transmitted from the dynamic data terminal unit, when varying the data communication quantity of the data terminal device by increasing or decreasing the number of trunk lines.

  • Patent number: 6031824
Abstract: A maintenance and supervising system and method for a multiplex communication system having mutually connected multiple pieces of multiplex communication equipment. A call controller executes call control by common channel signaling. A multiplexer multiplexes multiple communication data, and a fixed connection allocation device allocates multiplexed data within a multiplex circuit fixedly. A dynamic connection allocation device allocates multiplexed data within the multiplex circuit dynamically, and a piece of connection form switching equipment is provided. A piece of terminal equipment for maintenance and supervising is connected to one of the pieces of multiplex communication equipment.

  • Patent number: 5999516
Abstract: Multiplex communication equipment 1A used in a multiplex communication system, has a memory portion 12 memorizing the equipment number for the communication test. When there is an incoming call with reference to the same equipment number as one of the multiplex line 1A from the multiplex line 2A, the accommodation line portion 14a under setting a loop receives the incoming call and the communication test is done through a route for the communication test. When there is no accommodation line under setting the loop, the incoming call is rejected.
