  • Patent number: 8303219
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for removing chips on a cutting machine. The method includes: a first step in which an air supplied from an air supply source is introduced to a first opening and is ejected from the first opening, so that an airflow having a predetermined chip blowing force is blown onto a first region among surfaces of respective parts of the cutting machine and respective parts of a work; and a second step in which a moving member having a communication path extending from an air inlet port to a second opening is moved to a position at which the air inlet port is communicated with the first opening, so that the air is ejected from the second opening and thus an airflow having a predetermined chip blowing force is blown onto a second region among the surfaces of the respective parts of the cutting machine and the respective parts of the work.

  • Publication number: 20050212842
Abstract: A printed state detecting mark, made up of a printed area and a non-printed area, is printed on an object and illuminated with light. Light, which is reflected from or transmitted through the printed state detecting mark, is detected by a first sensor and a second sensor. A first detected amount of light detected by the first sensor is compared with a predetermined first threshold level to produce a first comparison result, and a second detected amount of light detected by the second sensor is compared with a predetermined second threshold level to produce a second comparison result. A printed state of printed marks on the object is determined based on the first comparison result and the second comparison result.

  • Patent number: 6656232
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a battery electrode from foamed metal electrode material includes first and second rollers which are parallel to each other at a shaft center, and rotatable in directions opposite to each other, and a guide bar which is between the first and second rollers. A method for manufacturing a battery electrode includes supplying a foamed metal electrode material including voids, and having a filled portion filled with active material and an unfilled portion without the active material, and a boundary line between the filled and unfilled portions. Part of the unfilled portion is folded in parallel to the boundary line passing through the unfilled portion, and at right angle against the unfilled portion. A lead welding portion is formed along the direction of the longer side, by applying, to the unfilled bent portion, a force in the direction perpendicular to the filled portion in a way to crush the voids, and compress the bent portion.

  • Patent number: 5797247
Abstract: One package for photographic film (PF) has five cassettes (3), which respectively contain the photographic film (PF). Five cylindrical watertight cases (2) respectively contain the cassettes (3). Heat shrinkable film (7, 25, 30, 57) is disposed around the five watertight cases (2), and shrunken by heat for collectively covering the five cassettes (3). The shrinkable film (7, 25, 30, 57) has shrinkability from 40 to 63% when heated at 140.degree. C. for 10 seconds, and has thickness from 35 to 50 .mu.m.

  • Patent number: 5428535
Abstract: A mother unit includes a mother board within a case. Control units control output devices, such as an air conditioning actuator, an antiskid actuator, an air bag module, or a constant speed actuator, each provided in a vehicle. The control units are freely connected to or disconnected from the mother unit. The mother unit is connected with the actuators by a wiring harness. Further, the mother unit is connected with sensors requisite for controlling the actuators by a wiring harness. A mother board of the mother unit is provided with common circuits shared by the control units.
