Abstract: A composition for accelerating calcium absorption containing water-soluble chitosan as an active ingredient is disclosed. The composition is useful as an additive for foods, feed, and pharmaceutical preparations.

Abstract: This invention relates to a novel compound which is useful as a drug in preventing and/or treating peptic ulcer-related diseases, to a production process thereof and to a pharmaceutical composition containing the same.Particularly, it provides a compound which has a specified substituted alkynylpyrazine nucleus or a specified substituted alkynylquinoxaline nucleus, represented by the following formula (I) ##STR1## wherein A is represented by the following formula (II) or (III) ##STR2## and R.sup.1 is represented by the following formula (IV), ##STR3## and the salts thereof, a production process thereof and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same.The inventive compound is useful as a drug in preventing and/or treating peptic ulcer-related diseases.

Abstract: A control apparatus for realizing remote operation control for a computer system is interposed between the Computer system and a master console for supervising data stream on a data transmission/reception signal line existing between the computer system and the master console. Occurrence of error in the computer system is messaged to a remote terminal through a public telecommunication line. Commands for the computer system can be inputted from the remote terminals.

Abstract: Fault monitoring/controlling apparatus and method for a data processing system comprises one or more computer systems, monitor and control apparatuses connected thereto for monitoring and controlling the associated computer systems and a single supervision/control system provided at a site remote from the computer systems. When abnormality taking place in the computer system is decided as a fault, report of the fault occurrence is automatically effectuated to the remotely located supervision/control system, which responds to the reception of the fault report and issues, if necessary, a command requesting additional supply of detailed fault information to the computer system suffering the fault. The additional fault information is comparatively collated with the fault information accumulated (precedents).

Abstract: In a computer network system in which a plurality of computer systems managed by different managers are connected, each computer system in the network system is provided with a group of tables for storing the characteristics of computer systems in the network system with which the site of that computer system is communicatable, the cumulative total of account information when that computer system requested the execution of jobs to another site, the cumulative total of account information when the site of that computer system executed jobs requested from another site, and the calculated value of the balance of accounts between the site of that computer system and each site in correspondence to each of sites in the network system and is also provided with a group of processing programs.

Abstract: A waste sterilizing and crushing apparatus includes a heating chamber adapted to receive wastes therein, and a heater for heating the interior of the heating chamber. The bottom of the heating chamber is formed with a discharge port, and a cover plate driven by a driving device to open and close the discharge port. A crusher is disposed below the heating chamber for crushing wastes, and a feeder is provided whereby wastes discharged through the discharge port are fed into the crusher. When the wastes are heated in the heating chamber, the discharge port is opened by the action of the cover plate. Thereupon, the wastes in the heating chamber are charged into the crusher through the discharge port and feeder.

Abstract: A distributed interactive processing in a complex computer system including a plurality of work stations (IWS's), each having predetermined server processes, at least a host computer (HOST), communication lines interconnecting between the plurality of IWS's and the HOSTs, and communication control portions to establish and to control communication paths between processes to conduct a process-to-process communication between the IWS's and the HOSTs. Each IWS has therein a process to implement an assigned processing request and a request control section to analyze the processing request issued by the own IWS and to determine a server process required to implement the processing request. Among a result of the request analysis, a predetermined server process is executed in the own IWS.
