  • Publication number: 20150173871
Abstract: Provided is a magnetic attachment for dental prosthesis, in which a material used for an outer shell which covers a permanent magnet does not become magnetized at an unintended portion to reduce magnetic attraction, and which can be easily manufactured. The magnetic attachment for dental prosthesis includes a permanent magnet structure to be fixed to a denture base, on a side where is to have contact with a residual ridge, wherein the permanent magnet is arranged inside the outer shell, and a keeper including a soft magnetic metal material to be fixed on an upper side of a residual ridge in an oral cavity, in a manner to face the permanent magnet structure, wherein a spacer made of a nonmagnetic metal material forming a part of the outer shell which covers the permanent magnet is fixated to another member which forms the outer shell by means of an adhesive agent.

  • Patent number: 6561806
Abstract: To develop a dental magnetic attachment having stable adhesive properties and capable of being adhered and fixed in a position in an alveolar ridge side, which does not require one to perform sandblast processing during the use and does not form a space between a permanent magnet structure and a denture base even when it is used in an oral cavity over a long period of time. 80 to 100% of a surface of a cover as a shell of the permanent magnet structure of the dental magnetic attachment, except for a surface thereof coming contact with a keeper, is beforehand processed by a chemical or mechanical method so as to have a surface roughness such that a maximum roughness, Rmax is 5 to 15 &mgr;m and that a ten-point average roughness, Rz is 3 to 8 &mgr;m.

  • Patent number: 5609881
Abstract: A bio-degradable/absorbable barrier membrane is coated thereon with sucrose esters of fatty acids. The sucrose esters of fatty acids is one or more members selected from the group consisting of monoester, diester, and polyester. The fatty acid is one or more members selected from the group consisting of stearic acid, palmitic acid, lauric acid, and myristic acid. These higher fatty acids may be mixed with a lower fatty acid.

  • Patent number: 4834655
Abstract: A cutting tool include a shank having a head, a groove which is formed on the outer face portion of the head only in the dextrally spiral form, and hard abrasive grains-attached section formed on the outer face portion of the head except for the groove. The total sum of the width of the groove in the section normal to the axis of the head of the shank is in a range of (1/50 to 2/5).times..pi.D, except for the endmost terminating portion of the head, wherein D is the diameter of the section normal to the axis of the head.

  • Patent number: 4820387
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for making an inner crown of a composite-layered crown for the restoration of crowns, said inner crown being composed mainly of a noble metal, an electrically conductive coating material undissolvable in a plating bath is applied and solidified on an inner crown-forming surface of a working model of a tooth on which the state of the tooth to be restored is reproduced and which is formed of a non-conductive material, and electrical connection is made so as to render said conductive coating material cathodic, while said coating material is immersed in said plating bath; an anode is immersed in said plating bath, while said anode is fixedly located on a position opposite to said inner crown-forming position; an auxiliary electrode formed of the same metal as the metal to be plated is fixed for immersion in said plating bath between said anode and said cathode, while its one end is or is not connected to said anode and its other end is opposite and adjacent to a recess in said cathode; a
