  • Publication number: 20150304331
Abstract: A user is provided with a service based on the user's private information while the information is kept secret from any provider involved in the provision of the service. A service provider provides a service using a result of an analysis performed based on two or more information items with respect to stored data. Data received from a user device and stored by a server are data after a process has been performed by using a secret parameter of the user on at least respective parts of data input for these two or more information items. This process is defined such that performing the analysis based on the two or more information items on data stored on the server produces the same result as performing the analysis based on the two or more information items on data input in the user device.

  • Publication number: 20130311520
Abstract: Many storage apparatuses are used to allow a large number of files of various sizes to be stored, with single-point-of-failure factors in the system reduced. A storage service provision apparatus (3) provides a service to store a file by means of a plurality of storage apparatuses (4) connected therewith over a network. A file to be written is divided into one or more pieces of data, and object identification information is assigned to each data component of the file (block object). Information for constructing the file using data of each block object (a management information object) is created, and object identification information is assigned to the management information object. Each block object and the management information object are then transmitted to and stored on their respective storage apparatuses (4) of the plurality of storage apparatuses (4) determined based on their own object identification information.

  • Patent number: 7660290
Abstract: Systems and methods for visualizing traffic coming in from outside to a network to be managed and being sent out of the network. An information presentation apparatus acquires traffic information regarding a traffic specified in accordance with a user's instruction, where the traffic information has been collected from one or more routers located at a border of the network to be managed. The apparatus also acquires path information regarding a path from a start router, through which the traffic passes into the network, to an end router, through which the traffic passes out of the network, referring to stored internal path information. The apparatus then informs a user of the acquired traffic information in association with the acquired path information. At least one of specification of the traffic and determination of the end router is performed referring to stored external path information.

  • Publication number: 20090260005
Abstract: A system includes user accommodation apparatuses at various locations and a central apparatus. A user accommodation apparatus concerned accepts a use request from a user of a terminal, and determines which one of the user accommodation apparatuses the user is currently associated with, based on first information managed by the central apparatus. The user accommodation apparatus concerned uses the determined one of the user accommodation apparatuses, to obtain second information for specifying where in the system the user's copy of an application program is held, and causes the user's copy of an application program designated by the user to move from one of the user accommodation apparatuses specified by the second information to the user accommodation apparatus concerned. Thus, the user's copy of the designated application program in the user accommodation apparatus concerned operates to communicate with the terminal, thereby providing a service to the user.

  • Patent number: 7430612
Abstract: A computing apparatus capable of changing, adding, and deleting function without halting. Computing apparatus (100) includes a pointer storage section (101) storing the pointer specifying the execution section executing computation, a pointer management section (102) changing the pointer stored by the pointer storage section, a data storage section (103) storing the data used for execution of the execution section, and a execution instruction section (104) causing the execution section, specified by the pointer stored by the pointer storage section (101), to executed computation by using the data stored by the data storage section (103). According to this computing apparatus, the pointer management section (102) changes the pointer concurrent with re-reading, adding, or deleting of the execution section, thereby dynamically enabling change, addition, or deletion of function.
