Abstract: A communication system and a communication method of recommending a communication tool based on a state of a counter party are provided. In the communication system a server may be connected with at least one terminal over a network. The server may estimate a current state of a user of a first terminal from an expanding profile received from the first terminal and recommend a communication tool corresponding to the current state. A second terminal may receive the current state of the user of the first terminal and a recommended communication tool from the server. Accordingly, it is possible to perform communication according to the state of a counter party.

Abstract: A mobile terminal having a touch screen and a method of inputting characters through the touch screen of the mobile terminal. When a user inputs characters though a touch screen of a mobile terminal, he or she can copy already written characters, character strings or images, or paste the copied characters, character stings or images, through a drag operation. Therefore, a user is allowed to copy or paste characters through a drag operation, when inputting the characters through a touch screen of a mobile terminal.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of searching media data is provided. The method of searching media data includes selecting attributes from a displayed category, calculating degrees of correspondence between the selected attributes and media data, and generating specified signals in accordance with the calculated degrees of correspondence.

Abstract: A method and apparatus to inputt Korean characters using a touch screen, the method including: if a first input that selects a consonant key displayed on the touch screen is sensed, vowel keys including a Cheon (•) key, a Ji (-) key, and an In (?) key are displayed around the selected consonant key; and, if a second input that selects at least one of the displayed vowel keys is sensed, a consonant corresponding to the first input is determined as an initial character of a syllable and a vowel corresponding to the second input is determined as a medial character of the syllable.
