  • Publication number: 20100077717
Abstract: Disclosed are a method of folding multiple filaments and a bundle of filament produced by the same. More particularly, the method of folding multiple filaments includes release-winding the filaments under a uniform release-winding tension, folding the released filaments in non-twisted states and winding the folded filaments to produce a bundle of filament, so as to effectively prevent some of the filaments in the bundle of filament from hanging down or becoming loose due to different tensions when the bundle of filament is release-wound for post processing. The bundle of filament includes a plurality of filaments folded together in non-twisted states and has a standard deviation in weight of the filaments per unit length of the bundle of filament ranging from 0.0001 to 0.01.

  • Patent number: 7512396
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing power consumption in a digital broadcast receiver is provided. An AC-to-DC converter converts input AC power into DC power that can be used in the receiver. A power control switch selectively supplies the DC power from the converter to a tuner unit and a decoder according to a command of a controller. The tuner unit receives broadcast channel signals and demodulates the received broadcast channel signals according to the respective broadcast formats. The decoder receives the demodulated broadcast signals from the tuner unit and decodes analog/digital broadcast signals. A multimedia output port is connected between the decoder and the display unit to transfer the audio/video output signals from the decoder to the display unit. The controller detects the state of the display unit through the multimedia output port to control whether to supply the DC power through the power control switch.

  • Patent number: 6937645
Abstract: A communication system economically mitigates the frequency-selective multipath effects and co-channel interference in wireless LANS. The communication system comprising a wireless local area network (LAN) formed by a plurality of spacially separated transceivers (TR, TR?). Each of the transceivers has a transmitting section (10) for transmitting data by a combination of dual code spread spectrum techniques and a receiving section (12) for recovering the data. The receiving section (12) comprises a plurality of diversity antennas (ANT 1 to ANT n), an adaptive forward equal gain combiner (60) having a plurality of branches (62 to 74 and 62? to 74?), each branch being coupled to a respective one of the diversity antennas. The adaptive forward equal gain combiner (60) selects a signal in one of the branches as a reference signal and co-phases the signals in the remaining branches with the reference signal.
