The present invention provides a home network device comprising: a user unit which receives a service request signal by a user's command or operation, and delivers the service request signal; a checking unit which checks user information and community service group information on the basis of said user request signal; and a processing unit which converts contents included in said service request signal according to a corresponding device and delivers the converted contents, if said user information and said community service group information have been checked.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing an N-screen service based on cloud computing. The existing SONF incurs load and costs when discovering, generating and maintaining services. Meanwhile, the apparatus and method provided herein enable to reduce the costs by using cloud computing capabilities, and also to provide more various services, thereby enhancing a user's service satisfaction. By using the apparatus and method, it is possible to serve an alternative to an N-screen service platform architecture, and by further adopting service capabilities of ITU-T and future network features, it is possible to improve service performances and satisfaction.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an IPTV service device and method for providing continuous service. The method according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a service-request receiving step of receiving an IPTV service request from a user of an IPTV terminal; a service-confirming step of confirming whether or not the IPTV service has previously been stopped in response to the IPTV service request; and an IPTV-service providing step of providing the IPTV service to the IPTV terminal from the point at which service was stopped if the IPTV service has previously been stopped.

    Abstract: The invention relates to UPC/NPC method for guaranteeing the quality of service in an asynchronous transfer mode networks. The method comprises a first step of performing the operation of UPC/NPC for a stream of CLP=0 cells, based on PCRA algorithm (Po) for the conventional stream of CLP=0 cells. And, UPC/NPC for the stream of CLP=0+1 cells is performed by PCRA algorithm (Po.sub.+1) for the conventional stream of CLP=0+1 cells, together with the compensation circuit using a single register of the invention. Thus, during the traffic negotiation in which two PCR are defined in ATM networks, MPP for the streams of CLP=0 cells and CLP=0+1 cells can be solved and CLR for the stream of CLP=0 cells is guaranteed.
