  • Patent number: 6848314
Abstract: A device (10) for receiving date transmitted as impulses through an input transmission body (16) is provided. The device (10) has a vibration sensitive transducer (50) which constitutes part of a floating mass assembly (40) with a pick-up portion (42). The pick-up portion (42) is biased towards a surface of a rigid body that is either the input transmission body (16) or a vibrations transmissive member (151). The assembly (40) has a freedom of movement permitting it to vibrate independently from the rigid body.

  • Publication number: 20040040355
Abstract: A cylinder lock for use in a door lock, comprising an outer plug, an inner plug, a rotary cam adapted to move a deadbolt of the door lock, and a clutch adapted to engage for rotation the outer plug to the rotary cam. The cylinder lock further comprises an electronic blocking device (EBD) and a drive means adapted to actuate the clutch upon an unblocking command from the EBD generated upon receiving therein an unblocking signal emitted from the outer side of the door, thereby enabling moving the deadbolt by rotation of the outer plug. The cylinder lock comprises an inner handle attached thereto at the inner side of the door, the EBD and the drive means being entirely accommodated within the inner handle. The signal is emitted by an electronic key or panel and may be a mechanical vibration signal, a light signal, or a radio signal.

  • Patent number: 5758525
Abstract: A lock and a key are provided wherein the key is used in conjunction with the lock. The key has a stop bit and a series of coding bits along its shank. The stop bit and each coding bit have a leading edge and a trailing edge to provide coding of the key and to form one side of a groove. The lock has a housing having a key-actuated cogwheel assembly. The cogwheels are registered with a keyhole and are spaced for engagement by the coding bits of the key. A driven cogwheel assembly has a series of cogwheels that mesh with a corresponding key-actuated cogwheel. A lock bolt is projected and retracted between two positions by a lock bolt actuating mechanism responding to position of the stop bit and coding bits.

  • Patent number: 5473921
Abstract: A circular rotating member, having an outer peripheral surface, is rotatably mounted in a ring member. The rotating member includes an elongated central slot and four peripheral slots extending inwardly from the peripheral surface of the rotating member and spaced at 90 degrees from each other. The key of the combination lock extends into the central elongated slot, and a ball bearing is carried in each of the peripheral slots of the rotating member. The inner surface of the ring member is substantially identical to the outer peripheral surface of the rotating member but the inner surface of the ring member includes, additionally, two cut-outs. Thus, when the ring member is driven to rotate at a high speed by an automatic dialer, the ball bearing will be driven by centrifugal force into the cut-out whereby to prevent further rotation of the dial to thereby block the lock.

  • Patent number: 5473920
Abstract: A combination lock is provided having a housing with a lock dial shaft rotatably mounted thereto. A lock bolt is slidably mounted to the housing, and a fence lever is pivotally coupled to the lock bolt. A tension spring constantly urges the fence lever into an operative, lock bolt displacing position thereof. An assembly of gated tumbler wheels is rotatable by the lock dial shaft and a slotted disc is mounted on a tumbler wheels assembly. The fence lever is adapted to close against the gated tumbler wheels when in alignment and thereby enabling the displacement of the lock bolt by the fence lever. A displaceable spring cam plate is coupled to a cam disc associated with the slotted disc so that, on every revolution of the cam disc, the plate becomes displaced a short distance. A second spring coupled between the fence lever and the cam plate is effective in the non-displaced position of the plate to restrain the pivoted movement of the fence lever under the tension of its spring.

  • Patent number: 5339662
Abstract: A locking system is provided for doors with a bolt unit installed on the inside and a control unit installed on the outside of the door. The bolt unit has a casing enclosing a bolt displaceable between a projected, locking position and a withdrawn, unlocking position. A solenoid device has an armature being displaceable between electromagnetically induced attracted and repelled positions. Linkage means are coupled between the armature and the bolt to drive the bolt between the unlocking and locking positions, respectively. A pass code may be entered into the control unit, and in response, a solenoid may be actuated by a current pulse into the unlocked position of the bolt. In addition, a reverse current pulse actuates the solenoid into a locked position of the bolt.

  • Patent number: 5321963
Abstract: An electrically operated locking system for doors and the like has an electrically operated locking device installed inside the door. A control device installed outside the door is operatively connected with the locking device. A sensor detects the position of the door with respect to the door mounting by a light activated means electrically coupled to the locking device such that when darkness is sensed, the locking device is activatable to operate the locking unit. When light is sensed, however, the locking device is nonactivatable.

  • Patent number: 4765254
Abstract: A method of producing torch-and-drill proof slabs, and their use in the construction of modular safe walls. The slabs are formed by casting a metal plate having one, planar side and an opposite side formed with a series of parallel, generally V-shaped recesses. The recesses are divided by elongated projections so that every sloping side-surface of a recess intersects with an upright side-surface of a respective projection along a ridge line. A series of elongated, springy V-shaped steel bars are made, having opposite pointed side-edges extending parallel to each other, at a distance somewhat larger than the distance between the facing ridge lines. The bars are forcibly wedged from above into the recesses so that the pointed edges become snapped-in between opposite ridge lines.

  • Patent number: 4747628
Abstract: A safe door locking system comprising a pinion rotatably mounted inside the door, and a door operating handle wheel at the outside of the door which is drivingly coupled to the pinion. A rack bar is coupled, via a gear mesh to the pinion. The door is adapted to lock by a plurality of in-unison rotatable disc-like lock bolts coupled to the rack bar. The rack is of hybrid structure, constituted by a double-T profiled, non-ferrous metal extruded bar. Inside one of its elongated cavities, at appropriate intervals as determined by the location of the said lock bolts, there are fastened a respective number of gear-toothed inserts meshed with the said lock bolts. An additional gear-toothed insert is fastened inside the other of the elongated cavities, meshing with the pinion. The pinion, the inserts, and the disc lock bolts are all made by slicing off extruded non-ferrous metal bars of suitable shapes, as the case may be.

  • Patent number: 4432573
Abstract: A locking system for safe doors of the type comprising a turnable handle or handwheel for operating one or more sets of bolts between a locked position, wherein the bolts project into the door rim, and an unlocked position, wherein the bolts are withdrawn from the door rim. The system is characterized by bolt-securing means in the form of locking pins adapted to be inserted, in the locked position of the bolt, into aligned bores formed through each bolt and through a wall of a fixed bolt housing block slidingly supporting the bolt during the displacement thereof between the locked and unlocked positions. The pins are displaced into their locking or inserted position immediately after the locking of the bolts during a continuous rotation of the handle.
