  • Publication number: 20180148226
Abstract: Delivering items to users by a delivery organization, or for transporting items purchased at a merchant location, comprises a delivery container assembly. The delivery container assembly is utilized to deliver non-standard items that are not suitable for a standard paper bag. The delivery container assembly includes an outer paper bag. The paper bag may optionally include integrated handles for transporting the delivery container assembly. A rigid support structure is placed inside the bag to support the bag, prevent rupturing of the bag, prevent overturning of the bag, and/or to keep the bag in an open position. The support structure may be composed of a rigid cardboard or other stiff, yet pliable, material. In certain examples, the bag and the support structure may be composed of one or more recyclable materials, such as paper, cardboard, cellulose, or other suitable materials.

  • Publication number: 20170350635
Abstract: Delivering items to users by a delivery organization comprises a delivery container suitable to deliver items that require storage at a specific temperature range for the duration of the delivery. The delivery container may be a cube or a rectangular prism constructed of an insulating material. The delivery organization may position a panel in the delivery container to separate a chilled compartment from a compartment with a coolant. The panel between the compartments includes a pressure relief valve that opens when the pressure difference between the compartments reaches a set point. The open valve allows the chilled compartment to exchange air with the compartment with the coolant until the drop in the pressure difference allows the valve to close. The temperature in the chilled compartment is maintained in the desired range by the opening and closing of the valve.

  • Publication number: 20170307278
Abstract: Delivering items to users by a delivery organization comprises a delivery container suitable to deliver multiple items that require storage at different temperatures for the duration of the delivery. The delivery container may be a cube or a rectangular prism constructed of an insulating material. The delivery organization may position a central panel in the delivery container to separate two compartments of the delivery container, each compartment to be cooled to a different temperature than the other. The delivery organization determines an appropriate coolant for each compartment based on heat transfer requirements of the compartment and positions the coolant in the bottom of each respective compartment. A panel is placed over each coolant and the items are placed in the appropriate compartments of the delivery container. A top panel is positioned on the delivery container to seal the delivery container.
