  • Publication number: 20240300333
Abstract: A sensor device, a motor vehicle and a method of determining an intrusion into a traction battery with an underbody element of the motor vehicle, may include the underbody element including at least one sensor device including at least one electrically conductive sensor wire integrated into a laminar textile material. The sensor device is configured so that a voltage applied to the sensor wire is measurable to determine a deformation of the sensor wire in dependence on a measured change of the voltage.

  • Patent number: 11973201
Abstract: An impact detection device for a traction battery of a motor vehicle includes at least one air-filled chamber formed on an underbody element for the traction battery. An air-filled chamber is at least laterally sealed to outside and defined by a sealing material. A pressure hose and an introduction element for the pressure hose can be provided, wherein the air-filled chamber can be coupled to a pressure sensor through the pressure hose, and the introduction element can be attached to the underbody element and formed to couple the pressure hose to the air-filled chamber through the sealing material in a set position. The introduction element can be embedded by the sealing material which seals the air-filled chamber.

  • Patent number: 11872899
Abstract: A traction battery system of an electrically operable motor vehicle is configured in the form of an underfloor battery and has at least one first battery module and one second battery module. The traction battery system includes a battery assistant module that is designed for operating the battery modules. The battery modules and the battery assistant module, which have an assistant module housing, are oriented in series in relation to one another in the direction of a body longitudinal axis of a motor vehicle body, and can be arranged between a first sill and a second sill of the body. The battery assistant module has a load-transmitting element for transmitting forces acting on side elements of the body, which load-transmitting element extends from the first sill to the second sill in the direction of a body transverse axis of the body.

  • Publication number: 20230070257
Abstract: A traction battery system of a motor vehicle, including at least two battery modules which each include a plurality of batteries. The battery module includes a module housing including a housing case and at least one housing cover. The battery module includes a venting unit having a vent opening and having a bursting element. Gas can be discharged from the module housing via the vent opening. The traction battery system includes a first longitudinal support and a second longitudinal support between which the battery modules are disposed. The longitudinal support has a vent chamber which is configured to receive and pass the gas flowing via the venting unit. A cooling chamber, which extends along the vent chamber, is configured separately from the vent chamber for cooling the gas flowing in the longitudinal support.
