Abstract: Disclosed are a system and method for generating a favorite list from a plurality of broadcast/Internet contents according to the preferences of the user. A plurality of incoming television and Internet contents is examined to identify a particular program liked by a viewer according to a past viewing history, then a general list containing at least one television content and at least one Internet content and a favorite list containing a list of program contents liked by the viewer based on the past viewing history are generated. Abstract: The invention relates to methods, devices and computer program codes for enabling simple seamless switch over between content related media streams, selecting a switching scheme and performing simplified switch over between such streams, as well as a set of media signals. The media streams (TS1, TS2, TSN) have access units (AU1, AU2, AU3), the lengths of which are made equal by adding filling packets (N). By doing this, overhead data (O1, O2, ON) related to the streams can also be made almost identical. This fact is then used for fast determination of switch over method and simplified seamless switch over between different media streams.

Abstract: Trick play and/or editing is applied to an original data stream, for example an MP3 data stream which includes headers and signal data interspersed with each other. Each header specifies a distance to a subsequent header, each header corresponding to a frame of signal data, the header being associated with a pointer that points a starting point of the signal data for that frame relative to the header. Before applying trick play, the original data stream is converted into an intermediate data stream of the same type as the original stream. During conversion, the starting points of the frames are moved to predetermined positions relative the associate headers and the headers are modified to create additional space between the headers so that the frames fit between headers.
