A request for the Java application is received at a node between the requestor device and a source of the Java application. A request for the Java application is sent to the source. The Java application is received from the source at the Intermediate node, which transforms the Java application according to attributes of the requester device. The transformed Java application is then sent to the requestor device.

    Abstract: The present invention includes a method and system for accessing a web page within a network. According to the present invention, a method and system is provided for accessing a web page wherein the web page is invoked based on the receipt of a beacon. Through the use of the method and system in accordance with the present invention, a web surfer has the ability to quickly and automatically access a web page without having to know the specific uniform resource identifier of the web page. The method and system include receiving a beacon packet wherein the beacon packet contains session identification information, connecting to the network and invoking the web page based on the session identification information.

    Abstract: A method and system for providing recycling information is disclosed. Through the use of the method and system in accordance with the present invention, the likelihood that a consumer will have the information necessary to effectively recycle a product is increased. Additionally, the possibility that the product is returned to a location preferred by a vendor, as opposed to returning the product to a competitor, is also substantially increased. A first aspect of the invention is a method for providing recycling information for an article of manufacture. The method comprises providing an article of manufacture and placing recycling information directly on the article of manufacture wherein the recycling information comprises instructions on where to recycle the article of manufacture. A second aspect of the invention is a system for providing recycling information for an article of manufacture.
