Publication number: 20220345012Abstract: A stator for a rotating electric machine includes a laminated core, and an electrically conductive winding including a winding top layer with electrically conductive top bars, and a winding bottom layer with electrically conductive bottom bars. Each groove of a stator segment of the laminated core has arranged therein a top bar and a bottom bar in adjacent relationship. The top and bottom bars protrude out of the grooves. A connecting element connects a free end of a top bar to a free end of a bottom bar of an adjacent stator segment and includes an inclined section to connect two ends of the connecting element. The ends are angled relative to the inclined section. One end of the connecting element is connected to the free end of the bottom bar and the other end of the connecting element is connected to the free end of the top bar.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 29, 2020Publication date: October 27, 2022Applicant: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: ILJA SABELFELD, MATTHIAS CENTNER

Patent number: 10236748Abstract: An active part of an electric machine includes at least two teeth, each having a magnetically permeable material and protruding from a lateral surface of the active part in a radial direction. Each tooth has an open recess in a plane spanned by a substantially radial direction and a direction substantially along an axis of rotation. A winding groove is arranged between the two teeth substantially along an axis of rotation of the active part for receiving an electrical winding. Arranged at least partially in the open recess is a thermally conductive element having a thermally conductive material with a thermal conductivity which is greater than a thermal conductivity of the magnetically permeable material.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2015Date of Patent: March 19, 2019Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Marco Festa, Matthias Centner, Ilja Sabelfeld

Publication number: 20170077770Abstract: An electric machine includes a rotor and a stator which is disposed in surrounding relation to the rotor and includes a plurality of laminated sub-cores arranged behind one another in an axial direction which is parallel to an axis of rotation of the rotor. Adjacent ones of the laminated sub-cores are separated from one another by a flow channel which is open in a direction of the rotor to allow supply of cooling gas to the rotor for cooling the rotor. A channel plate is placed to delimit a laminated sub-core from the flow channel. The channel plate has a rotor-side end section to deflect a cooling gas flow along the flow channel from a radial direction that points toward the axis of rotation.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2015Publication date: March 16, 2017Applicant: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFTInventors: MARCO FESTA, MATTHIAS CENTNER, ILJA SABELFELD
