Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for removing a broken pulp web from a pulp dryer. The apparatus includes a maintenance platform arranged at the first or the second end of the pulp dryer, outside the walls of the pulp dryer; a device for shifting the maintenance platform in a substantially vertical direction to a desired height with respect to the pulp dryer, and an extraction device fixed to the edge of the maintenance platform facing the dryer for pulling a broken pulp web out of the pulp dryer.

Abstract: A cleaning device in a paper or board machine, for cleaning a fabric therein, the fabric moving in a direction of movement. The device comprises a nozzle which directs a water shower or jet against the fabric which is to be cleaned, the nozzle including a first turning point, and wherein there is a first plane of the water shower or jet issuing from the nozzle. A plurality of water conduits which transport water to the nozzle. And, the nozzle being mounted so that the position thereof may be changed by turning the nozzle back and forth around the first turning point in the first plane, so as to change the direction of the water shower or jet discharged from the nozzle and so that the water shower is moved in a first linear movement.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for ventilating pockets in a twin-wire multi-cylinder dryer of a paper machine which comprises upper and lower lines of drying cylinders, an upper wire guided by surfaces of the upper cylinders and upper guide rolls and a lower wire guided by surfaces of the lower cylinders and lower guide rolls, and wherein the web runs between the upper and lower cylinders over an open draw, includes providing the guide rolls with perforated mantles for directing air flows from their interiors into the pockets, and providing blow boxes with nozzles for directing air flows into the pockets.

Abstract: A nozzle arrangement in a blow box of a paper machine, comprising one or several nozzles (22a, 22b) placed in connection with the blow box (20) or pipe, through which nozzles a blowing of air can be applied to a moving member in a paper machine placed in their proximity, such as a wire, drying cylinder, guide roll, felt, or the equivalent. The blow box (20) and its nozzles (20a, 20b) are at a certain operational safety distance (C) from the moving member. In connection with the nozzle slots of the nozzles (22a, 22b) or nozzle, a respective nozzle flap (24a, 24b) pivotable around a respective transverse hinge shaft (P) is hinged. The nozzle flaps (24a, 24b) respectively guide the blowing of air (F.sub.a, F.sub.b) to the desired object and if necessary maintain a required difference in pressure.
