The diagnosis component includes a logic and a status register. The logic has access to the functional hardware and a value of the at least one status register is readable by a software external to the hardware module. The method comprises at the logic receiving a check status command from an external software, checking the status of the functional hardware, and updating a value of the at least one status register depending on a result of the status check.
