  • Patent number: 6561285
Abstract: A breaking apparatus, which comprises a percussion device (1), and in the extension thereof, a tool (3) to which a percussion piston (2) belonging to a percussion device delivers impacts. In the axial direction, the movement of the tool is limited by a stopper element (15) if the movement of the tool exceeds a predetermined range of movement (B) in the direction of the impact (A). The stopper element (15) is a piece made of elastic material, which is arranged in a space between the tool and a supporting surface (16). During the stopping of the tool, the capacity of the space for the stopper element reduces, whereby the element is subjected to pressing. By the effect of the tool movement, the stopper element thus rotates about its cross-sectional central axis (21) and at the same time changes its cross-sectional shape in the reducing space. The invention further relates to a tool used in the above-described breaking apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6105686
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement in connection with a hydraulically operated impact device, such as a breaking apparatus. The impact device includes a percussion piston, conduits for feeding pressure fluid into and out of the impact device, and a pressure accumulator. According to the inventive idea, the pressure accumulator is formed as an annular structure surrounding the percussion piston. It consists of sleeve-shaped pressure chambers that are separated by a sleeve-like diaphragm arranged between a frame and a sleeve. The pressure chambers are formed such that the inner circumference of the sleeve placed around the frame and the outer circumference of the frame are provided with recesses opposite one another.

  • Patent number: 6073706
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulically operated impact device, such as a percussion hammer or some other breaking apparatus, comprising a control valve (6) for controlling pressure fluid supplied to and from the percussion piston (1) so that the direction of motion of the piston (1) can be changed in accordance with the cycle of operation of the impact device. According to the inventive idea, when the control valve (6) is in the impact position, the impact device is provided with a closed space that is partly bordered by the control valve and the percussion piston. The percussion piston (1) comprises a section which communicates with said space and which has a larger diameter than the upper end of the piston. The control valve and the percussion piston are thus able to move in the same direction until a connection is opened from this closed space to the upper end of the percussion piston (1).

  • Patent number: 5419404
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic impact hammer, comprising a protective casing made of two side plates, and provided with attenuation elements for eliminating the noise and vibration caused by the impact hammer. According to the invention, the attenuation elements (5, 6) are arranged in the side plates (1, 2) of the protective casing, so that the attenuation elements (5, 6) can be compressed in at least three directions (X, Y, Z) of the housing (4) while fastening the side plates (1, 2) to each other.
