In an aspect, a device can receive an electronic image representative of an invoice associated with a user of the device and a payee, send the electronic image of the invoice to an online accounting system, wherein the online accounting system converts the electronic image of the invoice into an electronic form, access accounts associated with the user of the device, accessing the electronic form of the invoice, and authorize payment of the invoice, including authorization of an electronic transfer of money from at least one of the accounts to the payee. A list of payees can also be received, and the payee can be selected from the list of payees. The selection of the payee can be sent to the online accounting system, which links the payee to the invoice.

In another example, pre-approved credit can be used to pay at an online shopping site when the cash and credit accounts associated with a virtual charging account have insufficient funds to complete the transaction. The payment can consist of a portion, or all of the pre-approved credit. The pre-approved credit can be granted on request, or can be automatically provided based on an analysis of open source information about the holder of the virtual charging account.

By way of example, an electronic transaction initiated at a first subscriber account can be funded at least in part from a second subscriber account. Particularly, the first subscriber account associated with a mobile terminal can select an item for purchase with a content browsing application on the first mobile terminal. A request for payment can be sent from the first mobile terminal to a second mobile terminal, associated with the second subscriber account. Funds transferred from the second mobile terminal to a banking account associated with the first mobile terminal can then be utilized to purchase the item and complete the electronic transaction. In an aspect, information pertaining to respective accounts can be masked from respective subscribers to provide financial privacy in conjunction with third party financing of electronic commerce.

A sender can use a first communication device to transfer funds from an account associated with the sender to a recipient via a communication address associated with the recipient's second communication device even if the recipient is not registered with a financial service provider associated with the account of the sender, without requiring the recipient to travel to a physical office or present a physical personal identification to obtain the funds. A transfer fund request can include the recipient's communication address, and a fund transfer message, comprising a link that facilitates retrieving the funds, can be sent to the recipient's communication address, and the recipient can be validated based on the communication address and/or a validation code. When validated, the funds can be made available to the recipient via an account of the recipient.
