  • Patent number: 9634595
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a generator system for operating a generator. The method for operating the generator includes exciting the field winding of a rotor of the generator by a first exciter device, driving a second exciter device while operating the generator with the first exciter device, and switching the second exciter device to excite the generator in case the first exciter device feeds to the generator not sufficient energy for operating the generator during a malfunction of the first exciter device. Further, a corresponding generator system is described.

  • Publication number: 20160354961
Abstract: A mold tool having at least two parts, a first part and a second part. The first part and the second part are releasably coupled to configure an outer mold structure and an inner mold structure. The outer mold structure and inner mold structure is high strength alloy for example high strength steel. A low melt alloy is disposed within the inner mold structure as an inner material such that low melt alloy provides an evacuable interior space. The evacuable interior space surrounds and accommodates an insulated winding bar. The dimension of the insulated winding bar determines the shape and dimension of the low melt alloy in the inner mold structure.

  • Publication number: 20160156146
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a tool and a method for shaping a conductor bar for an electric machine and a use of such a tool. Disclosed is a tool for shaping a conductor bar for an electric machine, with a hammer or a movable wheel supported by arms, the hammer or the movable wheel are suitable for engaging and exerting force to the conductor bar to modify the height h and/or the surface structure of the conductor bar, whereas the hammer conducts a bidirectional movement in the axial direction of the tool, whereas the wheel conducts a bidirectional movement in the axial direction of the tool and/or a rotating movement, whereas the tool applies heat to the conductor bar by friction of the hammer or the movable wheel. It is one advantage of the invention that the method and the tool do not remove any material from the conductor bar.
