  • Publication number: 20230368302
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses provide a system that may facilitate communications so that parents or other superiors may monitor driving behavior of a vehicle carrying children or other subordinates. The system may allow communications to be sent from a parent computing device to a particular child computing device to set conditions for notifying the parent or superior of the driving behavior of a vehicle. Child computing devices may collect drive data (e.g., vehicle telematics data) for the system to evaluate and determine whether conditions are met (e.g., whether parental restrictions, like a geo-fence, are violated). Further, the system may send notifications to child computing devices and parent computing devices indicating whether the drive data meets the conditions of an agreement between a parent and teen. The system may also provide a web portal for use in forming the agreement between parents and their teens.

  • Publication number: 20230289890
Abstract: Methods, computer-readable media, systems and apparatuses for determining and implementing usage-based insurance policies are presented. A first cost per day and second cost per day associated with the usage-based insurance policy may be determined and a cost for a first trip may be determined based on the cost per day and cost per mile. Driving data received during the first trip may be used to modify the cost per day and cost per mile to determine a second cost per day and/or cost per mile that may be used to determine a cost of subsequent driving trips.

  • Patent number: 11457147
Abstract: A method for enhancing the performance of a video camera capable of switching between night-mode and day-mode operation comprises: acquiring a first sequence of images with the video camera with an IR-transmission filter of known transmission characteristics in front of an image sensor of the video camera, the IR transmission filter having a transmission in the IR-region of above 30%, and acquiring a second sequence of images with the video camera without the IR-transmission filter. The method then uses the first and second image sequences to measure the contribution from visual light, or a contribution of IR radiation to images in the first or second stream of images. The measurements utilize an assessment of the calculated contribution to improve the performance of the video camera by switching the video camera from night-mode to day-mode, or add color information to images acquired with IR-radiation to the image sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220127780
Abstract: A textile structure including one or more layers of warp yarns interwoven with one or more layers of weft yarns, a durable thermoregulating coating, and a binder that chemically bonds the durable thermoregulating coating to the textile structure. The warp yarns and/or weft yarns include polyester yarns. A method for manufacturing a textile structure includes weaving one or more layers of warp yarns with one or more layers or weft yarns to form a woven textile structure, brushing the textile structure at least two times, applying a binder to the textile structure, and applying a durable thermoregulating coating to the textile structure such that the binder chemically bonds the durable thermoregulating coating to the textile structure. The method may also include heat setting and curing the textile structure to fix the durable thermoregulating coating permanently onto the textile structure.

  • Publication number: 20220020498
Abstract: A health risk evaluation system may manage, for a set of users, a corresponding set of digital healthcare profiles, where each digital healthcare profile includes a healthcare decision tree; determine, for a first user, a first subset of the users with a first set of similar digital healthcare profiles based on the corresponding set of healthcare decision trees; determine, based on correlation between a first healthcare decision tree with the first set of healthcare decision trees, a first recommended action; provide information related to the first recommended action; update, for a second user, a second digital healthcare profile and healthcare decision tree; determine the updated second healthcare decision tree deviates from the first set of healthcare decision trees; removing, based on the determined deviation, the second user from the users; determine, based on the updated first set of digital healthcare profiles, a second recommended action; and provide information related to the second recommended actio
