Abstract: An immersible filling body for the biological treatment of sewage stored in the basins of sewage treatment plants, aerated ponds and lagoons. The filling body is comprised of vertical channels for conducting the flow of a gas-liquid mixture. Each channel includes a central portion of substantially constant cross sectional area and two outer portions of variable cross sectional areas in order to produce a more vigorous communication between both the liquid and the gas and the liquid and the channel walls.

Abstract: Liquid treatment apparatus, principally for effluent purification comprises a liquid basin with a suitable inlet and outlet, and a treatment space in which is disposed a lamellar insert construction forming a plurality of narrow, mutually parallel channels through which liquid flow is laminar and the axes of which are inclined to the vertical. For effluent purification the treatment space is a main sedimentation space downstream of a preliminary sedimentation space. The lamellar insert construction can be suspended from floats connected to a mobile dredger for movement with the latter.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for the treatment of liquids, in particular for the biological purification of household sewage and/or industrial sewages containing organic contaminations, furtheron for the aeration and/or sedimentation of liquids. In the circular, quadratic or elongated oblong basin receiving the liquid a path recurring in itself is formed by means of one or more partition walls. For moving the liquid in a horizontal and/or horizontal and vertical direction propellers and/or rotors with a horizontal and/or vertical axle are used.For the aeration of the liquid one or more aerators with a horizontal or vertical axle and/or one or more fixed air blowers are applied.In sense of the invention one or more secondary sedimentators in a longitudinal arrangement or with a circular top-view, provided with oblique lamellae, are connected directly to the object or are assembled therewith.
