  • Publication number: 20160286598
Abstract: A first device associated with an evolved packet core network receives a first update request from a second device associated with the evolved packet core network. The first update request is associated with a communication session previously provided between the first device and the second device, and the first update request is generated based on a voice/video request. The first device generates an update answer in response to the first update request, where the update answer includes a code requesting that the communication session be restored between the first device and the second device. The first device receives, based on the code, a second update request from the second device, where the second update request includes session information associated with the communication session. The first device restores, based on the session information, the communication session between the first device and the second device to create a restored communication session.

  • Publication number: 20160183166
Abstract: A device may receive, from a mobile device and via a first radio access network, a request for a service. The device may receive a mobile device identifier that identifies the mobile device on a second radio access network. The second radio access network may be a different type of radio access network than the first radio access network. The device may provide the mobile device identifier to an equipment identity register. The device may receive, from the equipment identity register, an authentication indicator that indicates whether to permit or deny access to the service by the mobile device and via the first radio access network. The device may selectively permit or deny the mobile device access to the service, via the first radio access network, based on the authentication indicator.

  • Patent number: 9369569
Abstract: A device receives information associated with a voice-over-long term evolution (VoLTE) call from multiple network devices that handle the VoLTE call and that are provided in an evolved packet system (EPS). The device identifies particular parameters from the information associated with the VoLTE call, and combines the particular parameters into an end-to-end call record for the VoLTE call. The device outputs or stores the end-to-end call record for the VoLTE call.

  • Patent number: 8601142
Abstract: The binding of addresses and port ranges is performed by a device, based on network usage conditions. The device may determine a port block size, indicating a quantity of ports, to allocate to client devices. The device may transmit a message including an Internet Protocol (IP) address and a port range. The message may indicate that the IP address and port range is to be allocated to the one of the client devices based on an order of a first port value and a second port value in the port range, where the port range covers a quantity of ports corresponding to the port block size.

  • Patent number: 8542590
Abstract: A method may include receiving, from a user device, a request to access a long term evolution (LTE) network; sending, to one or more servers of a group of servers, a query to obtain information associated with a respective traffic condition and processing capacity; identifying a particular server via which to establish a communication session with the user device based on a determination that the particular server has a reserve processing capacity that is greater than a respective reserve processing capacity associated with other ones of the servers, where the reserve processing capacity is based on a traffic condition and processing capacity associated with the particular server; and sending, to the particular server, an instruction to establish the communication session, where sending the instruction enables the particular server to establish the communication session via which the user device is to access the network.
