    Abstract: An apparatus having a mechanism for easily controlling the length of a dog leash while avoiding injury to the hand, the apparatus case being formed round and flat to fit comfortably in the palm of the hand; a passageway of said case allowing free passage of a leash through the fingers, the case and palm; the length of the leash controlled by means of a rotating lever which applies pressure against the passageway surface.
