A touch operation moving at a threshold speed or more is detected. An enlarge ratio of the contents is controlled based on a second region corresponding to a movement direction of the detected touch among abutting regions of the first region. The second region of the enlarge ratio-controlled contents is displayed.

The mobile station compares strength of a signal received from a source BTS (Base Transceiver Station) with a prescribed reference value. If the strength of the signal received from the source BTS is larger than the reference value, the mobile station determines whether to perform a soft handover based on a new offset value being smaller than a previous hysteresis no matter how strong a signal received from a target BTS is.

    Abstract: An Internet access apparatus and a method for notifying of a Web page update using the same. The Internet access apparatus stores access information regarding at least one Web page selected by a user and checks the update condition of the Web page at predetermined update monitoring periods, in order to determine if the Web page has been updated. If the Web page has been updated, the apparatus informs the user of the update in a predetermined mode. Based on the user's selection, the apparatus provides easy access to the updated Web page by using corresponding access information. As such, the user can be easily aware of update of Web pages of interest without having to manually checking for these updates. Moreover, the user can conveniently access the updated Web pages.

If a first received frame has no errors and the raw BER of the first received frame is equal to or greater than a predetermined raw BER, a power control mode is changed to an adjustment mode. If a second received frame following the first received frame has no errors and the raw BER of the second received frame is less than the threshold raw BER in the adjustment mode, a target Eb/No is decreased by a product of a first step coefficient and a decrement unit. If the raw BER of the second received frame is equal to or greater than the threshold raw BER, the raw BERs of the first and second received frames are compared. If the raw BER of the second received frame is less than the raw BER of the first received frame, the target Eb/No is decreased by a product of a second step coefficient and the decrement unit.

    Abstract: A soft handover apparatus and method in a CDMA mobile communication system are disclosed. According to the present invention, the step of comparing a predetermined threshold with the signal strength of a source Node B is further performed. If the signal strength is greater than the threshold and thus a handover required state is set, an assigned offset time is increased. No matter how strong signal is received from a target Node B, a soft handover procedure is performed only if the handover required state is maintained for the increased offset time.
