A programmable filter circuit, in response to a selection signal, filters the down-converted TX signal according to a selected channel bandwidth. The second mixer receives the LO signal from the LO circuit and a channel-filtered TX signal from the programmable filter circuit and produces an up-converted TX signal having the first frequency. The power amplifier amplifies the up-converted TX signal to produce an output TX signal to cause an antenna to radiate electromagnetic energy in the selected channel bandwidth.
