    Abstract: A coding method and system with an adaptive bitplane coding mode is provided to code multiple bitplanes of a frame consisting of multiple macroblocks. Each bitplane consists of macroblock modes used by the macroblocks of the frame. The method includes the steps of: (A) initializing a bitplane coding mode of the frame as a compress mode; (B) coding the frame and the bitplanes to thereby obtain coded bitplanes, and calculating the bit number of coded bitplanes; (C) calculating the bit number of uncoded bitplanes; (D) executing step (A) when the bit number of coded bitplanes is smaller than the bit number of uncoded bitplanes; (E) initializing the bitplane coding mode of the frame as a raw mode when the bit number of coded bitplanes is not smaller than the bit number of uncoded bitplanes.

    Abstract: A touch screen of a mobile terminal and a power saving method thereof are provided. The power saving method of a touch screen for a mobile terminal includes determining whether a touch panel is contacted by controlling light emitting elements to emit light with a first scan speed and detecting whether light is received by light receiving elements; and decreasing, if the touch panel is determined not to be contacted for a predetermined time duration, a scan speed from the first scan speed to a second scan speed after lapse of the predetermined time duration. Therefore, if a contact occurs within the predetermined time duration, the contact is detected by executing the scan with the first scan speed, and if no contact is detected before lapse of the predetermined time duration, the scan speed is decreased, whereby electric current waste due to the scan can be minimized.

    Abstract: The invention provides a snap down lock and a release valve control mechanism for a vacuum food container. The vacuum food container includes a cover and a base in tight connection with the cover to form a box for storing food. A snap down lock is provided between the cover and the base. The snap down lock depresses a plug and a spring inside a U-shaped recess on the base using a corner of its square block, blocking its vent. At the same time, the snap down lock depresses a retractable spring switch provided on the base, starting a motor vacuum pump to draw out the air inside the box. Once the square block corner of the snap down lock departs from its depressing position and releases its depression on the plug and the spring, the restoring force of the spring pushes the plug out of the sealing position on the vent. The box is then in connection with the atmosphere via the vent.
