Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for diagnosis of delayed bone fracture healing, comprising determining the frequency of a subpopulation of CD8+ cells selected from a first group comprised of CD8+CD57+, CD8+CD28? and CD8+CD28?/CD57+, in a sample obtained from a subject. The present invention further relates to a system and a kit of parts for prediction and resulting options for preventing of delayed bone fracture healing.

Abstract: A device includes a first impedance; a reference current generation circuit configured to generate a reference current according to a first potential difference, a reference voltage, and a first impedance value of the first impedance; a current mirror circuit configured to output an output current having a first ratio to the reference current according to the reference current; a second impedance configured to generate an output voltage according to a second impedance value of the second impedance, a voltage of a first node which is the same as the first potential difference, and the output current; and a negative feedback circuit configured to generate a feedback voltage according to the voltage of the first node, and adjust the output voltage according to the feedback voltage. There is a second ratio that is inversely proportional to the first ratio between the second impedance value and the first impedance value.

Abstract: Various methods and ultrasound imaging systems are provided for automatically calculating and displaying a setting for an adjustable needle guide. An exemplary method includes acquiring an image including a target with an ultrasound probe and displaying the image on a display device. The method includes receiving an input, via a user interface, identifying the target in the image. The method includes automatically calculating, with a processor, the setting for an adjustable needle guide that is configured to be attached to the ultrasound probe based on the identified target in the image, wherein the setting is at least one of an angle measurement for the adjustable needle guide or one of a plurality of angular positions for the adjustable needle guide. The method includes displaying the setting for the adjustable needle guide on the display device.

Abstract: Methods and systems relate to a method for providing concurrent sharing of screen elements by multiple users within a communication session. First, a system connects multiple participants of a communication session. The system receives, from a first participant, a request to initiate sharing of one or more screen elements from a user device associated with the first participant. In response to the request, the system captures and displays the one or more screen elements from the user device of the first participant to the communication interfaces of the other participants. The system then receives, from one or more additional participants of the communication session, additional requests to initiate sharing of one or more additional screen elements. In response, the system captures and displays the additional screen elements of the additional participants to the communication interfaces of the other participants, such that multiple screen elements from multiple users are displayed concurrently.

Abstract: The method of the present disclosure comprises the following steps: providing a SERS-active substrate and a Raman spectra virus database; applying a virus sample onto the SERS-active substrate; applying an incident light by a Raman spectrometer onto the SERS-active substrate to generate a Raman spectrum of the virus sample; and comparing the Raman spectrum of the virus sample with a Raman spectra virus database to identify the species of the virus sample. Herein, the SERS-active substrate comprises: a support; a dielectric layer disposed on the support, wherein a plurality of cavities are formed on a surface of the dielectric layer; and a plurality of noble metal clusters formed in the plurality of cavities.

Abstract: A floating heat pipe assembly includes a floating heat pipe and a clamp collar used with the floating heat pipe. The floating heat pipe has a flattened section that has a flattened pipe size smaller than a pipe size of any other section of the floating heat pipe, so that the floating heat pipe is adjustable at the thinner flattened section for other sections of the floating heat pipe located at two opposite ends of the flattened section to displace to two positions having a height difference between them.
