Abstract: An electronic device used in a method for expanding image depth obtains first images by a first sensor, the first images comprising depth information. The electronic device obtains second images by a second sensor, the second images comprising gradient information, and the first images correspond to the second images. The electronic device determines the pixels in the first images which contain expandable content according to the gradient information of the second images, applies expansion accordingly to the pixels in the first images to generate third images, and generate target depth maps according to the gradient information of the second images and the depth information of the third images.

Abstract: The present teachings relate to methods, kits and devices for performing automated sequential nucleic acid isolation and conversion/purification in a single closed system. In various embodiments, the present teaching enable a user to (i) load a device with test samples, reagents and consumables; (ii) select or program the device for the desired nucleic acid isolation and subsequent chemical treatment and/or conversion reaction(s) without further user intervention; and recovering the isolated and treated and/or converted nucleic acid at the conclusion of the program once the device is activated.

The air flow blocking unit includes a left-side plate, a left-side support pole, a left-side air flow blocking plate, a right-side plate, a right-side support pole, a right-side air flow blocking plate, and a stop member. The left-side air flow blocking plate and the right-side air flow blocking plate are blown by an air flow flowing from outside environment into a case through the fan unit that is in a malfunction state, thereby rotating by respectively taking the left-side support pole and the left-side support pole as a rotary center thereof. Consequently, the left-side air flow blocking plate and the right-side air flow blocking plate are stopped rotating by the stop member, such that the air flow is blocked, by the two air flow blocking plates, from being entering the case.

Abstract: The invention discloses a preparation method of highly transparent self-adhesive PBAT cling film. The raw materials include PBAT, ACR, glycerin, and glycerin fatty acid ester; the preparation methods include mixing, preparing pellets, film blowing, and film winding. In the invention, ACR is added into PBAT resin, which increases the ductility, shrinkage property and flatness of winding of PBAT cling films; glycerin can improve the extrusion stability, softness and adhesion properties of PBAT cling films; glycerin fatty acid ester can improve the anti-fog property of PBAT cling films; meanwhile, glycerin and glycerin fatty acid can play a synergistic role to further enhance the anti-fog property of PBAT cling films. The PBAT cling film prepared by the invention has superior physical property, high transparency, high adhesion property, high shrinkage property, smooth flatness of winding free of wrinkles and good air permeability.

Abstract: A method is provided for peptide-based vaccine generation. The method receives a dataset of positive and negative binding peptide sequences. The method pre-trains a set of peptide binding property predictors on the dataset to generate training data. The method trains a Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network (WGAN) only on the positive binding peptide sequences, in which a discriminator of the WGAN is updated to distinguish generated peptide sequences from sampled positive peptide sequences from the training data, and a generator of the WGAN is updated to fool the discriminator. The method trains the WGAN only on the positive binding peptide sequences while simultaneously updating the generator to minimize a kernel Maximum Mean Discrepancy (MMD) loss between the generated peptide sequences and the sampled peptide sequences and maximize prediction accuracies of a set of pre-trained peptide binding property predictors with parameters of the set of pre-trained peptide binding property predictors being fixed.
