Abstract: Provided is a fuel cell including an anode electrode, a cathode electrode, and an electrolyte/ion exchange membrane between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode. The cathode electrode uses an iron redox couple as an oxidizer. The iron redox couple is regenerated by an oxidizing substance. The fuel cell does not need a noble metal catalyst, is thus economical in manufacturing costs, and has high power density, thereby improving energy conversion efficiency. Furthermore, the fuel cell is capable of decomposing an oxidizing substance, such as NOx, Cl2, Br2, or O3.

The apparatus includes: a plurality of tachometers attached to the motor to measure rotation speeds; and a plurality of processors each connected directly to the plurality of tachometers to receive the measured rotation speeds, thereby securing a plurality of directly obtained rotation speeds, sharing the obtained rotation speeds with each other, thereby obtaining a plurality of indirectly obtained rotation speeds, and performing a fault diagnosis on the plurality of tachometers using the plurality of directly obtained rotation speeds and the plurality of indirectly obtained rotation speeds.

A wafer is provided having a first semiconductor layer on an insulator. STI is used to divide the first semiconductor layer into a first active region and a second active region. A second semiconductor layer is epitaxially grown on the first semiconductor layer, wherein the second semiconductor layer comprises a material having at least one group III element and at least one group V element. An n-FET is formed in the first active region using the second semiconductor layer as a channel material for the n-FET. A p-FET is formed in the second active region using the first semiconductor layer as a channel material for the p-FET.

Abstract: A method for fabricating interconnecting lines inside via holes of a semiconductor device comprises steps of providing a template having a receiving trench and a connection surface both on the same side of the template; filling an electric-conduction material into the receiving trench; connecting a substrate having at least one via hole with the connection surface to interconnect the via hole with the receiving trench; heating the electric-conduction material to a working temperature to liquefy a portion of the electric-conduction material and make it flows from the receiving trench into the via hole; and cooling the electric-conduction material to form an interconnecting line inside the via hole. The present invention fabricates interconnecting lines by a heat-forming method, which features simple steps and has advantages of shorter fabrication time, lower fabrication complexity, higher fabrication efficiency, higher yield and lower fabrication cost.

The image-side surface of the third lens element includes at least one inflection point. By adjusting spacing between any two lens elements, the optical lens system for image taking has a desirable space allocation and can effectively correct the Petzval Sum in order to obtain superior imaging quality.

Abstract: Disclosed are a composition for the diagnosis of ovarian cancer and/or pneumonia, comprising thioredoxin 1 as an active ingredient, and the use thereof. Also, a diagnostic kit for ovarian and/or pneumonia and a diagnosis method are provided. Because blood, which is relatively easy to be sampled, is employed as a specimen, the diagnostic method is very simple and does not impose a load on patients compared to conventional methods that are directed to a biopsy. In addition, the method is useful in the early diagnosis of ovarian cancer thanks to the high diagnostic sensitivity and selectivity thereof. Thioredoxin 1 can be used as a diagnostic marker for pneumonia, which is characterized by a decreased serum level, with high selectivity for pneumonia, thereby readily discriminating pneumonia from cancer as well as diseases other than cancer.
