Abstract: A method of manufacturing an array substrate for a fringe field switching mode liquid crystal display includes: forming an auxiliary insulating layer having a first thickness; forming first and second photoresist patterns on the auxiliary insulating layer; performing an ashing to remove the second photoresist pattern and expose the auxiliary insulating layer therebelow; performing a dry etching to remove the auxiliary insulating layer not covered by the first photoresist pattern and expose a first passivation layer and to form an insulating pattern below the first photoresist pattern, the insulating pattern and the first photoresist pattern forming an undercut shape; forming a transparent conductive material layer having a fourth thickness less than the first thickness; and performing a lift-off process to remove the first photoresist pattern and the transparent conductive material layer thereon together and form a pixel electrode.

Abstract: A driver knee bolster may include a first bracket arranged on a cowl crossbar, wherein an upper portion may be fixed to the cowl crossbar, a second bracket disposed in front of the first bracket, wherein a lower portion of the second bracket may be coupled to a lower portion of the first bracket, and an upper portion of the second bracket may be spaced apart from the upper portion of the first bracket to form a space therebetween, and a buffering member arranged in the space formed between the first and second brackets.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a particular arabinoxylan (“AX”) preparation and the finding that this preparation has a beneficial effect on the organization of the intestinal microbial community in the lumen and in particular at the site of the gut mucosa, where it modulates the barrier function of the intestinal surface, primarily by modulating the mucosa-associated microbial community towards a relative increase of health beneficial bacteria, such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. It is accordingly a first aspect of the present invention to provide said arabinoxylan preparation characterized in comprising isolated water-soluble arabinoxylans and the use thereof to improve functioning (e.g. barrier function) of the intestinal epithelium.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for a precoding matrix are disclosed. A codebook used for selecting a precoding matrix is comprised of m subgroups each including n precoding matrices. A user equipment indicates a specific precoding matrix selected from the codebook by transmitting to a base station a first codebook index indicating one of the m subgroups and a second codebook index indicating one of n precoding matrices in a subgroup. The base station configures the specific precoding matrix from the codebook based on the first and second codebook indexes.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, sensor circuits, and a detection circuit. Each sensor circuit senses at least two external signals different from each other and outputs a sensing signal. The detection circuit receives the sensing signal to detect a position to which the external signals are applied. Each sensor circuit includes sensors commonly connected to an output terminal, a scan line which receives a scan signal, a capacitor disposed between the scan line and the output terminal, charged with a first voltage in response to the scan signal, and charged with a second voltage greater than the first voltage in response to the current signal after the scan line is floated, a switching device which outputs the sensing signal in response to the second voltage, and a readout line which applies the sensing signal output from the switching device to the detection circuit.

Abstract: A double belt press having a first, lower circulating plastic belt and a second, upper circulating plastic belt. The plastic belts have a first, low flexural strength, and a product gap is formed between facing strands of the plastic belts for forming a plate-like product. A first circulating lower steel belt and a second circulating upper steel belt are provided and have a second flexural strength which is high in comparison to the flexural strength of the plastic belts. A forming section is formed between the facing strands of the steel belts, which forms part of the product gap. The first, lower steel belt runs parallel and bears against a rear face of the first plastic belt in the forming section during operation, and the second upper steel belt runs parallel and bears against a rear face of the second plastic belt in the forming section during operation.

The carrier wave allotting method includes searching a wireless resource of the wireless communication network; updating cell information indicating information of cells of the wireless communication network; searching an access mode of a station connected with the operation and maintenance system; searching a wireless capacity of the station; and allotting a carrier wave to the station according to the wireless resource, the cell information, the access mode, and the wireless capacity.

A user equipment transmits uplink control information (UCI) using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource, allocated to a first component carrier (CC) among a plurality of CC's, in a sounding reference signal (SRS) subframe. The plurality of CC's in said SRS subframe, includes a second CC which comprises a single carrier-frequency division multiple access (SRS SC-FDMA) symbol, which is reserved to transmit SRS.

Abstract: An air discharge system of an HVAC (Heat, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system for a vehicle, may include a first path provided in the HVAC system to communicate with discharge ports of a front seat, the first path allowing air that has passed through a heat exchanger to be discharged through the discharge ports of the front seat, a second path diverged from the first path to communicate with discharge ports of a rear seat, the second path allowing air that has passed through the heat exchanger to be discharged through the discharge ports of the rear seat, thus enabling the independent discharge of air to the rear seat, and a first control door provided at a position where the first path and the second path diverge from each other, thus opening or closing the second path.

Abstract: A testing probe structure for wafer level testing semiconductor IC packaged devices under test (DUT). The structure includes a substrate, through substrate vias, a bump array formed on a first surface of the substrate for engaging a probe card, and at least one probing unit on a second surface of the substrate. The probing unit includes a conductive probe pad formed on one surface of the substrate and at least one microbump interconnected to the pad. The pads are electrically coupled to the bump array through the vias. Some embodiments include a plurality of microbumps associated with the pad which are configured to engage a mating array of microbumps on the DUT. In some embodiments, the DUT may be probed by applying test signals from a probe card through the bump and microbump arrays without direct probing of the DUT microbumps.

Abstract: An exemplary housing for a hard disk drive includes an enclosure, a bracket slidably mounted in the enclosure, and a door mounted to the bracket. The bracket supports the hard disk drive thereon. The door includes a cover pivotably connected to the bracket, and an operation bracket mounted to the cover. The cover can be rotated to a closed status in which the operation bracket is locked with the enclosure, thereby detachably fixing the cover to the enclosure. The cover can also be rotated to an open status in which the operation bracket is detached from the enclosure, whereby the bracket can be slid out of the enclosure to expose the hard disk drive.

The switch block circuit includes a configuration memory unit including first group memories and second group memories and a switching unit including first group switching transistors and second group switching transistors. The switch block circuit further includes a selection unit for correspondingly connecting the second group memories with the second group switching transistors depending on an operation mode. The switch block is efficiently reconfigurable depending on the intended use, and configuration memories unused in a specific operation mode may be applied to other purposes.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of simulating page flip effect includes an input unit, a display unit, a page flip control module and a thickness control module. The input unit generates a flip-page instruction in response to a user's operation. The display unit displays an electronic document in a page flipping format which includes a currently displayed page and a margin portion adjacent to the currently displayed page, and the margin portion includes a plurality of displayed stacked margins of undisplayed pages. The margins cooperatively resemble a thickness of the undisplayed pages. The page flip control module flips the currently displayed page over in response to the flip-page instruction to display a page flipping effect on the display unit. The thickness control module adds or removes a margin displayed in the margin portion, in response to the flip-page instruction to present a variation of the thickness of the undisplayed pages accordingly.
