    Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, ameliorating or treating immune checkpoint inhibitor-resistant cancer, comprising, as an active ingredient, a binding molecule capable of specifically binding to leucine-rich and immunoglobulin-like domains 1 (Lrig-1) protein, which is a protein present on the surface of regulatory T cells (Treg). The binding molecule specific to the Lrig-1 protein according to the present invention suppresses the function of regulatory T cells in which the Lrig-1 protein is expressed at high levels, such as regulatory T cells in tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) or activated regulatory T cells, thereby very effectively preventing a phenomenon in which the function of effective T cells is suppresses by the regulatory T cells. Accordingly, the binding molecule specific to the Lrig-1 protein can effectively prevent, ameliorate or treat immune-evasive cancer, that is, cancer with resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors.
