Abstract: A thermoelectric structure that may be included in a thermoelectric device may include a thin-film structure that may include a plurality of thin-film layers. The thin-film structure may include Tellurium. The thin-film structure may be on a substrate. The substrate may include an oxide, and a buffer layer may be between the substrate and the thin-film structure. The thermoelectric structure may be manufactured via depositing material ablated from a target onto the substrate. Some material may react with the substrate to form the buffer layer, and thin film layers may be formed on the buffer layer. The thin film layers may be removed from the substrate and provided on a separate substrate. Removing the thin-film layers from the substrate may include removing the thin-film layers from the buffer layer.

Abstract: An indoor unit of an air conditioning system is provided. The indoor unit according to an exemplary embodiment includes a blower fan, a plurality of micro-holes configured to discharge cool air flowed in from the blower fan, a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature, and a processor configured to control a speed of the blower fan, wherein the processor, in a first mode, controls the speed of the blower fan according to a temperature sensed by the temperature sensor, and in a second mode, corrects the sensed temperature by applying a temperature correction coefficient and controls the speed of the blower fan according to the corrected temperature, and wherein the temperature correction coefficient is a coefficient set for compensating a difference between the sensed temperature and a temperature of a target height.

Abstract: An antenna device of a portable terminal including conductive components is provided. The antenna device includes a first radiator connected to a power feeding unit of the portable terminal and a second radiator connected to each of the power feeding unit and a ground part of the portable terminal. At least one of the conductive components is connected to at least one the first radiator and the second radiator. The conductive components may be used as a radiator of the antenna device such that the antenna device may be easily installed within an inner space of a miniaturized and lightened portable terminal and the inner space of the portable terminal may be efficiently used.

Abstract: The present invention discloses use of butylidenephthalide (Bdph), a method of using the same, and a method for preparing a pharmaceutical composition containing the same. Because Bdph has the capability of promoting the hair growth and reducing the ?-amyloid protein (A?) level in nerve cells, the efficacy of improving the health and appearance of a subject can be achieved by administrating an effective amount of Bdph to the subject. Specifically, the Bdph has the efficacy of preventing or treating neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease caused by excessive build up of A? in the cells, and as an active ingredient in a topical composition, the Bdph is effective in promoting the hair growth at the site where the Bdph is administered.

Abstract: An air conditioner and a control method thereof perform cooling through an outlet if room temperature or room humidity is high to reduce the room temperature or the room humidity, and closing the outlet to perform cooling at low velocity through an outlet hole if room temperature or room humidity reaches a predetermined value so that a user can little feel the wind velocity of cooling of the air conditioner, while maintaining indoor space at pleasant temperature or humidity. By performing cooling at low velocity through the outlet hole formed in the lower portion of the air conditioner, it is possible to cool the lower area of indoor space at pleasant temperature when a user is asleep.

In addition, presented is an efficient signaling method capable of covering both the terrestrial broadcast network and the internet network in the environment supporting the next-generation hybrid broadcast.
