    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a power semiconductor module. The module includes metal plates each having a first through hole, with an anodic oxidation layer formed on a surface of metal plates and an interior of the first through hole. A cooling member has a second through hole at a position corresponding to the first through hole, and the metal plates are attached to both sides of the cooling member. A circuit layer is formed on the anodic oxidation layer and performs an interlayer connection through a via formed in the first and second through holes. A power device is connected to the circuit layer. A resin encapsulant encloses the circuit layer and the power device. A housing is installed to each of the metal plates to form a sealing space for the resin encapsulant.

    Abstract: An MgO protective layer formed on a front substrate of a plasma display panel and a method of manufacturing the protective layer are disclosed. The protective layer is manufactured by using an MgO pellet, which is simultaneously doped with a first doping material of BeO and/or CaO among alkali earth metals and a second material selected from the group consisting of Sc2O3, Sb2O3, Er2O3, Mo2O3, and Al2O3, as a deposition source through a vacuum deposition method. The protective layer remarkably improves a discharge efficiency of the PDP and shortens a discharge delay time, so that it is applied to a signal can PDP. Also, it lowers a manufacturing cost by reducing the number of electronic components.

The method can comprises: (a) forming an upper layer circuit on an upper seed layer; (b) laminating a dry film on a portion of the upper seed layer where a cavity is to be formed; (c) fabricating an upper outer layer by forming an insulation layer on top of the upper seed layer and on top and sides of the upper layer circuit; (d) stacking the upper outer layer on one side of a core layer where an internal circuit is formed; (e) removing the upper seed layer; and (f) forming the cavity by removing the dry film. The method for manufacturing a substrate with a cavity according to the present invention can reduce the total thickness of the substrate while the thickness of an insulation layer remains the same, by forming the insulation layer on sides of an external circuit.

The plastic substrate of the present invention comprises plastic films attached to each other, and a first buffering layer of an organic-inorganic hybrid, a layer of gas barrier, and a second buffering layer of an organic-inorganic hybrid which are stacked on both sides of the plastic films in an orderly manner, each layer forming a symmetrical arrangement centering around the plastic films. Because the plastic substrate of the present invention has a small coefficient of thermal expansion, excellent dimensional stability, and superior gas barrier properties, it can replace the brittle and heavy glass substrate in display devices. Also, it can be used for a variety of packaging or container materials in applications requiring superior gas barrier properties.
