Abstract: An air conditioner and a method for controlling the same are disclosed herein. The air conditioner has a capillary tube equipped to a connecting tube which connects a suction pipe and a discharge pipe of a compressor and has an opening/closing valve equipped therein, thereby allowing pressure equilibrium between the suction pipe and the discharge pipe of a compressor to be maintained when the compressor stops operating, and allowing a discharge flux of the compressor to be appropriately controlled when a load is lower than a capacity of the controller under operation. As a result, the air conditioner does not require a separate bypass unit, thereby simplifying the construction of the air conditioner while minimizing the installation space thereof through omission of a separate bypass unit, leading to reduction in costs.

Abstract: Disclosed is a high voltage generator comprising: a first voltage level detector for detecting a voltage level of the high voltage; a second voltage level detector for detecting difference between the high voltage and a power supply voltage; a high voltage pump for performing a pumping operation to generate a high voltage when one of output signals of the first voltage level detector and the second voltage level detector is enabled; and a controller for receiving the output signal of the second voltage level detector, and for connecting a terminal through which the high voltage is output with the power supply voltage when the high voltage is lower than the power supply voltage.

Abstract: Provided is concerned with a voltage regulation circuit and method of regulating the voltage, including a reference voltage generator for generating a reference voltage by dividing a core voltage of a semiconductor memory device, a controller for controlling the reference voltage generator to adjust the reference voltage without handling the core voltage in response to a test signal of a test mode, and a voltage generator for generating a bit-line precharging voltage and/or a cell plate voltage in accordance with the reference voltage.

Abstract: An air-conditioner having multiple compressors includes: an indoor heat-exchanger disposed indoors and heat-exchanging indoor air; an outdoor heat-exchanger disposed outdoors and heat-exchanging a refrigerant with external air; four compressors for compressing the refrigerant to change the refrigerant to have a high temperature and high pressure; and three accumulators disposed at a suction side of the four compressors and separating the refrigerant into a gas and a liquid to supply a gaseous refrigerant to the compressors. Oil can be uniformly supplied to each compressor, thereby enhancing reliability of compressors, and since the three accumulators are small with low capacities, their installation space can be easily secured.
