  • Publication number: 20060067268
Abstract: A method for controlling power of a shared forward link data channel for multicasting in a mobile communication system. The method includes the steps of initializing a virtual gain for each mobile terminal with which the shared forward link data channel is established, receiving power control request information from each mobile terminal to adjust the virtual gain of each mobile terminal, selecting a largest virtual gain among the adjusted virtual gains as a control power value of the shared forward link data channel, and regulating the power of the shared forward link data channel to the selected control power value.

  • Publication number: 20060046762
Abstract: A system and method for controlling congestion between response messages responsive to a group call page in a mobile communication system are provided. Efficient group call control is accomplished by transmitting a group call page message comprising a group call identifier to an access terminal through a control channel, and at the access terminal receiving the group call page message, applying a different response time according to a reception type of the group call page message to transmit a response message to the access network transceiver system.

  • Publication number: 20060040693
Abstract: An apparatus and method for processing a call in a PTT system where, when an outgoing terminal transmits an invitation message for PTT service or for call setup to a predetermined incoming terminal in a dormant state, the outgoing terminal transmits the invitation message together with address information on the incoming terminal to enable a PTT server to detect the location of the incoming terminal before the invitation message is transmitted to the incoming terminal, thereby reducing the time taken to set up a PTT call.

  • Publication number: 20060009250
Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining access power in a mobile communication system. The system includes a base transceiver station (BTS) for generating and transmitting a message field including access parameter information and BTS load information within an area covered by the BTS, and the mobile terminal for determining transmission power for access on a basis of power of a signal received from the BTS and the message field. The method includes the steps of generating a message field including access parameter information and BTS load information and transmitting the message field from the BTS to the mobile terminal within an area covered by the BTS, and determining transmission power for access in the mobile terminal on a basis of power of a signal received from the BTS and the message field.

  • Patent number: 6041093
Abstract: A variable frequency dividing circuit adjusts the frequency dividing ratio by a non integer. The variable frequency dividing circuit includes a sequence storing part for storing an N-bit sequence data to output the N bits of the sequence data in parallel. The variable frequency dividing circuit also includes a sequence generator for receiving the N-bit sequence data from the sequence storing pan to generate a sequence control signal and a sequence control signal converter for converting the sequence control signal according to a frequency variation request to generate the converted sequence control signal. The variable frequency dividing circuit further includes a frequency divider for dividing a clock signal frequency according to the converted sequence control signal outputted from the sequence control signal converter and a clock signal generator for producing a clock waveform in accordance with the divided clock signal frequency.
