  • Publication number: 20180101543
Abstract: A distributed storage server includes a plurality of data server devices and a plurality of metadata server devices. The metadata server devices store metadata associated with data which is distributively stored in the data server devices. A selected metadata server device checks whether a dangling directory occurs by performing a rename operation, based on information associated with a full path of a parent directory of a source and a full path of a parent directory of a target included in a request of the rename operation. When it is determined that the dangling directory does not occur, the selected metadata server device processes transactions directed to the metadata such that the rename operation is performed. The checking whether the dangling directory occurs is performed before a transaction period for processing the transactions.

  • Publication number: 20180101565
Abstract: Various technologies related to control flow integrity checking are described herein and can be used to greatly improve software security. During static analysis, a canonical control flow graph can be built. Execution of a program can be interrupted at runtime, and the call stack can be observed to verify control flow integrity of the program using the canonical control flow graph. Attacks using stack tampering can be avoided, regardless of how the stack tampering is achieved. Non-invasive techniques can be used, making the technologies applicable in situations where source code is not available. Real-time operating system protection can be supported.

  • Publication number: 20180101966
Abstract: Described are methods and systems for generating a video stream of a scene including one or more objects. A sensor captures images of objects in a scene. A server coupled to the sensor, for each image, generates an initial 3D model for the objects and an initial 3D model of the scene. The server, for each image, captures pose information of the sensor as the sensor moves in relation to the scene or as the objects move in relation to the sensor. A viewing device receives the models and the pose information from the server. The viewing device captures pose information of the viewing device as the viewing device moves in relation to the scene. The viewing device renders a video stream on a display element using the received 3D models and at least one of the pose information of the sensor or the pose information of the viewing device.

  • Publication number: 20180099578
Abstract: A method for controlling a relay of an auxiliary battery by a controller includes deciding whether or not a low direct current (DC) to DC converter (LDC) supplies power required in an electronic load in a state of charge (SOC) maintaining mode of the auxiliary battery. As a result of the decision, a turn-on state of the relay in which power of the auxiliary battery is supplied to the electronic load is maintained when the LDC does not supply the power required in the electronic load. As a result of the decision, the relay is turned off so that power of the auxiliary battery is not supplied to the electronic load when the LDC supplies the power required in the electronic load.
