  • Patent number: 11960707
Abstract: An electronic device provides, to a display, data to present a user interface that includes a plurality of user interface objects, and a current focus on a first user interface object. While the display is presenting the user interface, the electronic device receives an input that corresponds to a movement of a contact across on a touch-sensitive surface. The electronic device, in response to receiving the input and in accordance with a determination that a first axis is a dominant axis, moves the current focus along the first axis by a first amount and along the second axis by a second amount. The amount of movement of the current focus along the second axis is reduced to a first non-zero amount by a scaling factor that is based on one or more inputs received prior to receiving the input.

  • Patent number: 11941667
Abstract: Embodiments set forth techniques for managing advertisement auctions on a client device. The method can include the steps of (1) receiving, from a server device, a plurality of objects, where each object is associated with a respective digital asset, and each object includes, in association with the respective digital asset (i) a server-derived digital asset vector, (ii) a server-derived predicted tap-through rate, and (iii) a bid amount. In turn, and for each object of the plurality of objects, the client device (2) generates a respective estimated cost per impression for the object based on the information provided by the server device as well as information derived by the client device. Subsequently, the client device (3) identifies, among the plurality of objects, the object associated with the highest respective estimated cost per impression, and (4) causes an advertisement for the respective digital asset associated with the identified object to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 11378975
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer -storage media, for swarming technology. In some implementations, the system can be modeled on the spatial reasoning process found in rodents and other mammals. A plurality of synaptic weights can be formed within a neural network. The neural network along with additional data of a system can be used to determine motion vectors for one or more devices within a group of devices or swarm. The motion vectors can help determine where the devices within a group of devices are located at a given time. Motion vectors can direct devices to areas of high activity in a similar manner to how spatial cells in a brain direct animals in accordance with high activity rates of particular cells within their brain.

  • Publication number: 20220199782
Abstract: Gallium nitride high-electron-mobility transistors (GaN HEMTs) are at a point of rapid growth in defense (radar, SATCOM) and commercial (5G and beyond) industries. This growth also comes at a point at which the standard GaN heterostructures remain unoptimized for maximum performance. For this reason, the shift to the aluminum nitride (AlN) platform is disclosed. AlN allows for smarter, highly-scaled heterostructure design that improves the output power and thermal management of GaN amplifiers. Beyond improvements over the incumbent amplifier technology, AlN allows for a level of integration previously unachievable with GaN electronics. State-of-the-art high-current p-channel FETs, mature filter technology, and advanced waveguides, all monolithically integrated with an AlN/GaN/AlN HEMT, is made possible with aluminum nitride. It is on this AlN platform that nitride electronics may maximize their full high-power, highspeed potential for mm-wave communication and high-power logic applications.

  • Patent number: 8183933
Abstract: A circuit includes a first transistor in a common-collector configuration and a heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) in a common-emitter configuration. The first transistor has a base coupled to an input node for receiving a pulsed signal. A collector of the first transistor is coupled to a first voltage source node. A base of the HBT is coupled to an emitter of the first transistor. A collector of the HBT is coupled to a second voltage source node configured to bias the HBT normally off. The HBT operating isothermally when the pulsed signal has a short-pulse width and a low duty cycle. The first transistor drives the HBT when the pulsed signal is received at the base of the first transistor to output an amplified pulsed signal at the collector of the HBT.

  • Patent number: 7998682
Abstract: A non-invasive method for the diagnosis of atherosclerosis is provided. In one example, the method includes assaying the expression of FOS, DUSP1, or both FOS and DUSP1 in monocytes or a cell fraction thereof, or in plasma, serum or peripheral blood from the subject. An increase the expression of FOS, DUSP1, or both FOS and DUSP1 in monocytes in the sample as compared to a control indicates that the subject has atherosclerosis. A method is also provided for determining if a pharmaceutical agent is effective for treatment of atherosclerosis in a subject. The method includes assaying the expression of FOS, DUSP1, or both FOS and DUSP1 in a monocytes treated with the pharmaceutical agent, wherein a decrease the expression of FOS, DUSP1, or both FOS and DUSP1 in monocytes in the sample as compared to a control indicates that the pharmaceutical agent is effective for the treatment of atherosclerosis. The monocytes can be contacted with the agent in vivo or in vitro.
