Abstract: The present invention relates to an interconnect device for a printed circuit board, a method of manufacturing the same and an inter-connect assembly having the same. According to one aspect of the present invention, the interconnect device for a printed circuit board comprises: a first contact section 10 having a bar-like shape for making contact with a second contact terminal 76 in a space transformer 52; a connecting section 12 having an O-ring-like shape of which one side is opened and connected to one end of the first contact section 10 in an integrated manner; a support section 14 having an engaging protrusion 14a in a predetermined portion and connected to one end of the connecting section 12 in an integrated manner; and a second contact section 16 having an O-ring-like shape and connected to one end of the support section 14, wherein the whole inter-connect device is made up of an identical resilient material.

Abstract: A tape printer includes a holder support member at one side end in a roll sheet holder storage part in a direction substantially perpendicular to a feeding direction. In the holder support member, a mounting piece which is substantially rectangular in section and formed protruding outward on a positioning holding member of a roll sheet holder is fitted. The tape printer further includes a flat portion formed substantially horizontally between a rear edge of an insertion opening through which a roll sheet is inserted into the tape printer. On the flat portion, a front portion of a guide member is placed. At a rear edge of the flat portion in the feeding direction, at plural positions corresponding to various kinds of the roll sheets having different widths, there are formed four second positioning grooves in which part of the guide member is fitted.

Abstract: A method of forming a via contact structure using a dual damascene process is disclosed. According to one embodiment a sacrificial layer is formed on an insulating interlayer during the formation of a preliminary via hole. The sacrificial layer has the same composition as a layer filling the preliminary via hole in a subsequent trench formation process. The sacrificial layer and the layer filling the preliminary via hole are simultaneously removed after the trench formation process is carried out. According to another embodiment, a thin capping oxide layer is formed on an insulating interlayer during the formation of a preliminary via hole. The thin capping oxide layer is removed together with a sacrificial layer after a trench formation process is carried out.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus which controls write power of an optical driver by optimizing the number of channels used to drive a laser diode in a write mode while stabilizing the level of a write power voltage at an early stage of the write mode. The method of controlling the write power includes checking whether the write power provided to the laser diode included in the optical driver is stable, controlling the write power by increasing the number of channels used to control the write power so as to provide sufficient write power to drive the laser diode in response to the write power provided to the laser diode being unstable, and controlling the write power by using less channels than the channels used in response to the write power being unstable in response to the write power provided to the laser diode being stable. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the size of a firmware by preventing channels unnecessary to perform a write mode from being used.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for downlink packet scheduling for scheduling a real-time service and a non-real-time service. The method for downlink packet scheduling includes steps of: a) classifying inputted packets based on a type of packet and storing a maximum delay time information of the packets; b) determining a user urgency of the packets by using the maximum delay time information and a channel state by using an instantaneous channel state, an average channel state, or a ratio of the instantaneous channel state and the average channel state; c) determining a priority based on the user urgency and the channel state; and d) transmitting the packets according to the priority.

Abstract: An optical disc device performs tracking control using a light amount difference at two overlapping areas. The optical disc device includes a splitter, objective lens, detection-signal generator, tracking-signal generator, and driver. The splitter splits the light beam from a light source into a main beam and sub-beams. The objective lens converges the split beams and illuminates a signal-recording-layer track. The detection-signal generator receives reflected light beams and generates a detection signal according to the reflected-light-beam light amounts. The tracking-signal generator generates a tracking error signal on the basis of the detection signal. The driver drives the objective lens in a tracking direction on the basis of the tracking error signal. The splitter causes the light amounts of the overlapping areas at sub-reflected-light beams to be less than a light amount of an area other than the overlapping areas.

Abstract: In a backlight assembly and an LCD apparatus including the same, a backlight assembly includes a lamp unit, a light guide plate and a receiving container. The lamp unit includes a lamp, a porosity lamp holder having a plurality of pores, and a lamp cover combined with the porosity lamp holder and surrounding the lamp. The light guide plate guides the light of the lamp unit. The receiving container receives the lamp unit and the light guide plate. The porosity lamp holder includes a porosity portion including the pores and a surface portion surrounding the porosity portion. A diameter size of the pores is between about 10 ?m to about 50 ?m.

The ultrasonic wave Doppler diagnosis instrument transmits an ultrasonic continuous wave in a range direction and receives a reflective wave of the ultrasonic continuous wave. The ultrasonic wave Doppler diagnosis instrument includes: a modulation unit that subjects the ultrasonic continuous wave to frequency modulation such that a phase is varied in accordance with the distance of the range direction; a demodulation unit that demodulates the reflective wave for each range of the range direction while interlocking with the frequency modulation, and generates a reception signal in the range in a separated state; and a presentation unit that presents information by using a signal of a Doppler component based on the reception signal.

Abstract: Compositions for pharmaceutical and other uses comprising clear aqueous solutions of bile acids which do not form any detectable precipitates over selected ranges of pH values of the aqueous solution and methods of making such solutions. The compositions of the invention comprise water; a bile acid in the form of a bile acid, bile acid salt, or a bile acid conjugated with an amine by an amide linkage; and either or both an aqueous soluble starch conversion product and an aqueous soluble non-starch polysaccharide. The composition remains in solution without forming a precipitate over a range of pH values and, according to one embodiment, remains in solution for all pH values obtainable in an aqueous system. The composition, according to some embodiments, may further contain a pharmaceutical compound in a pharmaceutically effective amount. Non-limiting examples of pharmaceutical compounds include insulin, heparin, bismuth compounds, amantadine and rimantadine.

Abstract: A method of providing a hard handoff between Mobile Switching Centers (MSCs) during an alerting state. A Base Station Controller (BSC) requests a handoff to an MSC in case a Mobile Station (MS) transmits a Pilot Strength Measurement Message (PSMM) during an alerting state and a condition for a hard handoff between MSCs is satisfied. Otherwise, if a hard handoff request message is transmitted from the MSC, a conventional handoff operation is performed in a target BSC. After the alerting state, a connection order from the MS or a connection message from the MSC is processed. Therefore, the possibility that the hard handoff will succeed increases and the mobility of the MS is ensured.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sustained release drug delivery system composed of a water insoluble polymer, and more particularly, to a sustained release drug delivery system comprising: a crystalline core material; an active ingredient layer which is formed on an outer surface of the crystalline core material and comprises a pharmacologically active ingredient and a water insoluble polymer; and a sustained release layer which is formed on an outer surface of the active ingredient layer and comprises a sustained release film forming material. The present invention also relates to a sustained release drug delivery system which releases an effective drug in an aqueous solution or a body fluid for 24 hours by using a sustained release film forming material and a plasticizer together to provide sustained release of a pharmacologically active ingredient.

The dispenser of the icemaker in the refrigerator includes an ice chute being a passage through which the ice produced from the icemaker is discharged; and a container supporter provided at an outer case and disposed to be perpendicular to an outer surface of the outer case when the ice is discharged outside through the ice chute, the contain supporter allowing a container seated thereon to receive the ice discharged from the ice chute. The ice chute is closed and not exposed outside when the ice-discharging process is finished, and the container supporter is not exposed to the outer surface of the outer case.
