  • Patent number: 6961092
Abstract: A three-dimensional image capturing device comprises a light emitting device and an imaging device, such as a CCD, having a plurality of photo-diodes, a vertical transfer unit and a substrate. A pulse-modulated distance measuring light beam is radiated from the light emitting device to a measurement subject and a reflected light beam, generated by the measurement subject due to the distance measuring light beam, is sensed by the photo-diodes, so that a distance information sensing operation which detects distance information of the measurement subject is executed. The data, for example, relating to the distance information or the image information of the measurement subject, which is stored in the device, is transmitted to an external computer system by an optical transmission system using the above light emitting device. A data transmitting light beam may be superposed onto the distance measuring light beam.

  • Patent number: 6960425
Abstract: A method for forming a pattern of carbon nanotubes includes forming a pattern on a surface-treated substrate using a photolithographic process, and laminating carbon nanotubes thereon using a chemical self-assembly process so as to form the carbon nanotubes in a monolayer or multilayer structure. A monolayer or multilayer carbon nanotube pattern may be easily formed on the substrate, e.g., glass, a silicon wafer and a plastic. Accordingly, the method can be applied to form patterned carbon nanotube layers having a high conductivity, and thus will be usefully utilized in the manufacturing processes of energy storages, for example, solar cells and batteries, flat panel displays, transistors, chemical and biological sensors, semiconductor devices and the like.

  • Publication number: 20050237562
Abstract: A method of controlling an image forming apparatus to determine a printing operation depending on a residual developer includes receiving printing data from an external device, determining whether an auto storage function is set to store the printing data depending on the residual developer, detecting the residual developer in a developing device, comparing the detected residual developer with a predetermined reference residual amount when it is determined that the auto storage function is set, and storing the received printing data in the storage when it is determined that the detected residual developer is less than the reference residual amount according to the comparison. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent deterioration of a print quality due to a lack of the residual developer.
