    Abstract: A separator including: a porous polymer substrate; and a porous coating layer on at least one surface of the porous polymer substrate. The porous coating layer includes a plurality of inorganic particles and a binder polymer partially or totally on surfaces of the inorganic particles to connect and fix the inorganic particles. The binder polymer includes core-shell structured polymer particles having a core portion and a shell portion surrounding the core portion. The core portion polymer present in the core portion and the shell portion polymer present in the shell portion have a different glass transition temperature. A polymer containing an ingredient capable of being eluted with an electrolyte and linked through a chemical bond is grafted to the surface of the shell portion. An electrochemical device including the separator is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A substrate and a method for producing the same are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a substrate includes a base layer, a black layer formed on the base layer, and column spacers formed on the black layer, wherein a loss rate of spacers measured by a peel test is 15% or less. The substrate can have excellent adhesiveness of the spacer to the base layer or the black layer and ensuring appropriate darkening properties. The method can effectively produce such a substrate without adverse effects such as occurrence of foreign materials without separate treatment such as heat treatment.
