  • Patent number: 7626164
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method of scanning a substrate, and a method and an apparatus for analyzing crystal characteristics are disclosed. A sequential scan on the scan areas using a first electron beam and a second electron beam are repeatedly performed. The electrons accumulated in the scan areas by the first electron beam are removed from the scan areas by the second electron beam. When a size of the scan area is substantially the same as a spot size of the first electron beam, adjacent scan areas partially overlap each other. When each of the scan areas is larger than a spot size of the first electron beam, the adjacent scan areas do not overlap each other. Images of the scan areas are generated using back-scattered electrons emitted from each of the scan areas by irradiating the first electron beam to analyze crystal characteristics of circuit patterns on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 7627685
Abstract: A system and a method for controlling transport rate of real time streaming service between a streaming server and a streaming client connected via a predetermined network. In transmitting multimedia contents to the streaming client, the streaming server controls the transport rate by compensating as much as accumulatively added average value a difference between a buffer level reported from the streaming client and a required buffer level. Furthermore, in order to prevent an initial reproduction delay, the streaming server controls by a maximum transport rate allowed by the network. By which, an overflow or an under-run of buffer occurring when streaming service is given for a long time can be prevented, and a time delay can be minimized from a time of streaming start point to a time of reproduction in actual screen or sound.

  • Patent number: 7625515
Abstract: A method of manufacturing photonic band gap structures operable in the optical spectrum has been presented. The method comprises the steps of filling a plurality of grooves of an elastomeric mold with a UV curable first polymer, each groove in parallel with each other and partially curing the first polymer. A second polymer is coated on the first polymer. A substrate or a multi-layer polymer structure is placed on the filled mold and the resulting structure is exposed to UV light (i.e., is UV cured). The mold is peeled away from the first and second polymers such that a layer of polymer rods is formed on the substrate/multi-layer polymer structure. The process is repeated until a desired number of layers have been formed. The multi-layer structure can be used to create ceramic and metallic photonic band gaps by infiltration, electro-deposition, and/or metal coating.
