  • Patent number: 10808079
Abstract: Various embodiments provide random copolyimides that may possess the mechanical, thermal, chemical and optical properties associated with polyimides yet achieve a low energy surface. In various embodiments, the copolyimides may be prepared using a minor amounts of a diamino terminated fluorinated alkyl ether oligomer and a diamino terminated siloxane oligomer. The various embodiments include processes for making the copolyimides containing fluorine and silicon surface modifying agents and anisotropic coatings and articles of manufacture from them. Thus the coatings and articles of manufacture made with the copolyimides of the various embodiments may be characterized as having an anisotropic fluorine and silicon composition and low surface energy.

  • Publication number: 20200317392
Abstract: A packaging assembly includes a top section, a bottom section releasably connected by at least one fastener. The top section includes a top body defining a label opening and a transparent label cover closing the label opening. The top section is configured to removably retain a shipping label under the transparent label cover. The bottom section includes a bottom body, at least a first package recess being defined in the bottom section that removably accommodates at least a first internal package therein. The first package recess has a first recess width approximately equal to a first package width. A user releases the fastener to open the top and bottom sections and remove the internal package. The shipping label is removed, manipulated to display a return address and reinserted under the label cover so the packaging assembly can be returned.

  • Publication number: 20200076014
Abstract: A battery module includes battery cells and a cell monitoring unit (CMU). The CMU includes a radio frequency (RF) communications circuit and a cell sense circuit connected to a substrate, the latter in wireless communication with the RF communications circuit. The cell sense circuit measures battery data, including a cell voltage and a cell temperature of each battery cell. The CMU includes a microprocessor in communication with the RF communications and cell sense circuits. The microprocessor determines when the battery module has been dormant for a predetermined dormancy duration during which the battery cells are neither charging nor discharging. Responsive to such dormancy, a Long-Term Data Storage Mode is executed in which the RF communications circuit paired with the cell sense circuit, collects the battery data at a calibrated interval, and wirelessly transmits the battery data to flash memory of the CMU for storage therein.

  • Patent number: 10560192
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a system for transmitting (electromagnetic or acoustic) wave-based signals towards a target includes a plurality of transceivers and a controller. Each transceiver transmits a probe signal towards the target and receives an associated backscatter signal corresponding to reflection of the probe signals from the target. The controller determines, for each transceiver, a Doppler frequency shift and a time delay, modifies each associated backscatter signal based on the corresponding Doppler frequency shift and time delay to generate an associated motion-compensated backscatter signal, and applies time reversal (TR) processing to each motion-compensated backscatter signal to generate an associated motion-compensated TR signal. Each transceiver transmits towards the target a transmission signal based the associated motion-compensated TR signal. In communications systems, the transmission signals are data-modulated versions of the motion-compensated TR signals.
