Patents by Inventor Ina LIEBL

Ina LIEBL has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Publication number: 20200407558
Abstract: A composition is used for producing novel types of foam in that they combine specifically good flame-retardant properties with a good elongation at break. These novel types of foam are produced from a blend of polyether sulphone (PES) and polyphenylene sulphone (PPSU).

  • Patent number: 10343314
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of prefoamed poly(meth)acrylimide (P(M)I) particles which can be further processed to give foam mouldings or composites. A feature of this process is that a polymer granulate is first heated and thus prefoamed in an apparatus by means of IR radiation of a wavelength suitable for this purpose. Said granulate can be further processed in subsequent steps, e.g. in a press mould with foaming to give a moulding or a composite workpiece with foam core.

  • Patent number: 10207435
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of mold-foamed poly(meth)acrylimide (P(M)I) cores, in particular of polymethacrylimide (PMI) cores, which can be used by way of example in automobile construction or aircraft construction. A feature of this process is that polymer granules or polymer powder preheated under pressure are moreover charged under pressure to a compression mold where they are foamed with depressurization. In particular, a feature of the process is that it optionally uses a preferably two-shell compression mold for the heating and also for the cooling of the granules and, respectively, the rigid foam core formed therefrom.

A feature of this process is that polymer granules or polymer powder are charged to a compression mould where they are foamed. A particular feature of the process is that said two-shell compression mould has, respectively on both sides, a cavity that conforms to the shape and which serves for both the heating and the cooling of the granules and, respectively, of the rigid foam core produced therefrom.
