  • Publication number: 20050173322
Abstract: The invention concerns a subsea separation apparatus for processing crude oil comprising a separator module (3) with a separator tank 3a). The separator tank (3a) surrounds an opening (42) going there through, placed substantially in the geometrical centre of the separator tank (3a). The opening (42) is accessible for other processing equipment for the crude oil. Furthermore the separator tank (3a) may be substantially symmetrically placed on a well head (4b) and the separator module (3) may be substantially concentrically placed on the well head (4b).

  • Publication number: 20050116799
Abstract: An electrical switching device including at least one ingoing conductor at least a first and a second outgoing conductor, and an arrangement for connecting and disconnecting the conductors by means of an axial movement. The arrangement includes an axially movable element, which is movable between a first and a second position. The device is arranged such that when the axially movable element is in the first position, the ingoing conductor and the first outgoing conductor are electrically connected, and the ingoing conductor and the second outgoing conductor (3) are disconnected. When the axially movable element is in the second position, the ingoing conductor and the first outgoing conductor are disconnected, and the ingoing conductor and the second outgoing conductor are electrically connected.

  • Publication number: 20050056804
Abstract: The invention relates to a coupling device including a coupling part provided with a coupling member and having an internal bore extending through the coupling part and its coupling member, wherein the coupling part is provided with a valve, which includes a valve body displaceably arranged inside the internal bore and a spring member acting on the valve body, the valve body being displaceable against the action of the spring member from a first position to a second position. The valve includes a housing fixed inside the internal bore, the housing being provided with a cavity accommodating the spring member and a part of the valve body. The cavity is in fluid communication with an orifice at the end of the valve facing the free end of the coupling member so as to allow the cavity to be in fluid communication with the surroundings via the orifice when the coupling member is out of engagement with a corresponding coupling member.

  • Publication number: 20040200620
Abstract: A subsea system for processing a fluid emanating from one or more subsea wells, comprising a fluid processing circuit and a base module (3) provided with at least one receiver (40) for receiving an insert module (4-8) comprising an appliance that forms part of the fluid processing circuit. The receiver (40) comprises a cavity (30) for accommodating the insert module (4-8). The insert module (4-8) is provided with a flange (31), which is adapted to bear on a corresponding flange (32) of the receiver (40) when the insert module (4-8) is mounted therein, a watertight seal (33) being arranged between said flanges (31, 32) so as to seal the space between the receiver (40) and the part of the insert module (4-8) received therein from the surrounding sea water.

  • Patent number: 6024514
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for intercoupling of two pipeline which are located in a subsea position. A second pipeline (12) is preinstalled on a bottom based template or frame (10), and a first pipeline (2) is initially freely positioned, located in a smaller or larger distance from said second pipeline. Equipment is available for transport of said first pipeline to the bottom frame with said second pipeline, and equipment for positioning, holding and coupling of the pipelines, such that a pressure resistant, strong coupling is provided between the same. One aspect of the invention relates to a ring-shaped, open seat (18) mounted on the bottom frame (10) at a certain space in front of a terminator (14) on the end of the second pipeline (12) mounted on the bottom frame (10).
