  • Patent number: 7017152
Abstract: The execution of program sections written in an object-oriented programming language is supervised. A program section is started, and a supervision object is created as an instance of a class. In a memory, information is stored to identify the created object for a time period. The program section is terminated, and the information stored in the memory is removed when the created object is completed and/or inactive. The memory is then scanned to identify information that has been stored in the memory longer than the time period, and if so, an alarm signal is triggered.

  • Publication number: 20060053021
Abstract: The method of monitoring an information system and has a real-time engine unit in communication with a broker unit. The engine unit has an event source unit and a metrics source unit and receives an event signal from the source unit in a first protocol language. The engine unit obtains a metrics parameter in a signal from the source unit in a second protocol language. The engine unit receiving the information in the first and second protocol languages and converts the signals to a third protocol language that is transmitted in a signal in the third protocol language to the broker that, in turn, converts the information to a universal protocol language that is understood by a plurality of consumers units.

  • Publication number: 20040015848
Abstract: The method supervises the execution of program sections written in an object-oriented programming language. The method comprises starting a program section and creating an object as an instance of a class. In a memory unit, information segments are stored to identify the created object, the information segments are stored for a first time period. The program section is terminated and the information segments stored in the memory unit are removed when the created object is completed and inactive. The memory unit is then scanned to identify information segments that have been stored in the memory unit for a time period longer than the first time period and an alarm signal is triggered.

  • Patent number: 4270976
Abstract: Method of producing peroxide bleached pulp from fibrous lignocellulose materials which are subjected to a defibration step in a grinding space defined between a pair of discs which rotate relative to one another within a steam pressurized grinding housing. The pulp material is fed into the central portion or "eye" of the grinding space by a screw conveyor which rotates in a bore communicating with the grinding housing to form a steam-tight plug to prevent blow-back of pressurized steam from the grinding housing. The steam-tight plug, upon entry into the central portion of the grinding space, is broken up into fiber bundles which are accelerated radially outwards in the grinding space by the centrifugal force while being subjected to progressively increasing defibrating action. A peroxide-containing bleaching solution is introduced into the grinding space so as to react with the separated fibers of the pulp material during the defibrating action.

  • Patent number: 4017356
Abstract: An improved apparatus and method for manufacturing ground wood pulp from ligno-cellulose containing wood block material by forcing the block material to be ground against the end surface of a rotatably mounted grinding disc which has projecting grinding means in the shape of elevations or ridges located on the disc end surface which define grooves directed towards the end surface circumference. The apparatus includes a pressure plate for pressing the block material along a longitudinal side against the disc end surface with the fibers directed outwardly from the center of the grinding disc and toward the periphery of circumference of the disc while the fibers are separated. In this manner the fibers are oriented in the same direction as the edges of the elevations or ridges which carry the fibers radially outward and the elevation edges engage the block fibers under a movement component which is transverse to the longitudinal direction of the fibers.
