  • Patent number: 5829578
Abstract: A conveyor belt comprises a plurality of side links at each side of the conveyor belt, a plurality of transverse rods connecting the side links in pairs, and a wire mesh forming a conveying surface of the conveyor belt. The wire mesh further comprises a plurality of wire spirals each spiral having loops encircling two of the transverse rods. At least some of the wire spirals have a varying pitch along the length of the rods.

  • Patent number: 5803232
Abstract: A conveyor belt comprises a plurality of longitudinally spaced transverse rods. A plurality of side links at both lateral edges of the conveyor belt are connected in pairs by the successive transverse rods. Each side link is movable relative to adjoining side links about two axes perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the conveyor belt. A wire netting is supported by the transverse rods and extends substantially over the whole width of the conveyor belt. The wire netting comprises a plurality of wires. A separate one of the wires forms a joint intermediate the lateral edges of the conveyor belt between each pair of adjoining transverse rods, each transverse rod in the pair connecting a separate pair of side links. Thereby, the joint takes up tractive forces at least along straight paths of the conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 5190143
Abstract: In an air treatment plant, an endless conveyor belt travels in a helical path over a part of its length. The conveyor belt comprises a bottom consisting of transverse rods and a wire netting, and side plates fixedly connected in pairs with two rods so as to form, together with these rods, a link, which is movable relative to adjoining links about two axes perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the belt and situated one in the plane of the bottom and the other perpendicular thereto. The wire netting consists of zig-zag wires, each of which encloses not only the two rods of one link but also one adjacent rod of the adjoining link. Furthermore, the ends of each wire are fixed to one of the two rods of the associated link.

  • Patent number: 4921602
Abstract: A filter for separating particles from a flow of liquid comprises a filter drum (1) rotatably mounted about a substantially horizontal shaft and partially immersed into the filter liquid. The filter drum comprises a filter cloth (2) forming the circumference of the drum and having a plurality of radially extending sections between two drum end plates (3,4), one (3) of which is provided with a central opening through which the unfiltered liquid enters the interior of the drum. A drive means (9) rotates slowly. A belt conveyor (18) extends over the surface (23) of the liquid flow for removing the particles carried along by the filter cloth out of the liquid and falling down from the filter cloth in an area around the highest point of the drum. The filter cloth side edges formed as beads are clamped in grooves on the inside of the end plates (3,4), and the end plates (3,4) are fixed to each other by means of spacer members (D) spaced from the filter cloth.
