  • Patent number: 9457303
Abstract: A particle separator comprises a pipeline that allows a fluid to flow in a curved direction of flow. The particle separator includes an inlet region, a curved deflection region, which in the direction of flow follows on from the inlet region, with an inside wall and an outside wall, and a delimitation body. The delimitation body at least in some sections extends between the inside wall and the outside wall in the interior of the deflection region and is curved in the same direction as the deflection region.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 19, 2013
Date of Patent: October 4, 2016
Assignees: AIRBUS OPERATIONS GMBH, DIEHL AIRCABIN GMBH
Inventors: Ralph Schoenherr, Marc Ahlburg, Stefan Ertl, Ivo Schindler, Marco Hinz, Dariusz Krakowski, Alfred Huber, Ingo Hildebrand

  • Patent number: 8394163
Abstract: A conduit piece for the absorption of foreign bodies in an air distribution conduit of an air-conditioning installation, with a bent portion, the inner wall (I) of which has a large bend radius (Rg) and a small bend radius (Rk). To avoid flow noises according to the invention, an interception device (1, 10, 11, 13, 14) be provided in the region of the large bend radius (Rg) for the purpose of intercepting foreign bodies carried through the conduit piece together with the air.

  • Patent number: 8201775
Abstract: The invention relates to a decompression element for pressure equalization in a cabin of an aircraft, with a decompression element frame, a flap, and a hinge element or at least one bearing element for fitting the flap to the decompression element frame. The hinge element or the bearing element can be produced from a plastics material. A decompression device for decompressing a cabin area includes a decompression device frame, a first opening which enables a flow to take place between a line of an air-conditioning system of the aircraft and the interior space of the decompression device, a second opening which enables a flow to take place between the cabin area and the interior space of the decompression device, and a third opening receiving the decompression element with the flap.

  • Publication number: 20090159748
Abstract: The invention relates to a decompression element for pressure equalisation in a cabin of an aircraft, with a decompression element frame (4), a flap (2) and a hinge element or at least one bearing element (6?) for fitting the flap to the decompression element frame (4). The hinge element or the bearing element (6?) can be produced from a plastics material. A decompression device for decompressing a cabin area comprises a decompression device frame (17), a first opening (19) which enables a flow to take place between a line (16) of an air-conditioning system of the aircraft and the interior space of the decompression device. A second opening (14) of the decompression device enables a flow to take place between the cabin area and the interior space of the decompression device. The decompression element with the flap (2) is disposed at a third opening.
