The cover forms an outward curvature such that the cover contributes to a capsule volume, and the collar is at least 1.6 mm wide.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a coffee blend and the coffee blend obtained by this method, wherein the coffee blend is characterized in that a coffee drink brewed from said coffee blend contains high amounts of chlorogenic acids (CGA) and N-methylpyridinium cations (NMP) and optionally, low amounts of carboxylic acid-5-hydroxytryptamides (C5-HT), has a superior antioxidative activity.

Abstract: In a system comprising a beverage machine and comprising portion capsules of at least two different types which each contain a beverage substance, portion capsules of different types are provided with colour codings which differ from one another. Abstract: A portion capsule, which is suitable in particular for brewing coffee, has a capsule cover and a capsule base and is closed on all sides in the state in which it is supplied. It contains a particulate beverage substance which can be extracted by water. A screening device is arranged between the beverage substance and the capsule base. The screening device is spaced apart from the capsule base, in the central region of the latter, by means of an annular structure which defines an outer region and an inner region in the interspace between the screening device and capsule base. The outer region is connected to the inner region via through-openings.

Abstract: A single portion cartridge (1), which is suitable in particular for brewing a portion of a coffee beverage, has a cartridge cover (6) and a cartridge base (4) and in the state in which it is supplied is closed on all sides.
