Abstract: A transport vehicle is provided including a structure adapted for receiving and holding a component carrier and a lifting mechanism adapted for lifting the component carrier received by the chassis. Further, a component carrier is provided, which is adapted for carrying loads. The component carrier includes a lifting portion for a transport vehicle and a support portion having a support surface adapted for supporting the load to be carried. Moreover, a system is provided including at least one transport module having a receiver portion adapted for receiving a support module, the transport module comprising a raising mechanism adapted for raising the support module and at least one support module adapted to fit in the receiver portion of the transport module and adapted to support loads to be transported.
